I bought a pair of these and have had the opportunity to use them twice. Right out of the box I liked them because they hugged my feet. I walk a lot, usually 3 to 5 mile hikes 3 or 4 times a week and on the weekend I like to do an 8 to 10 mile walk/hike. Most of my walks are on trails that have dirt, roots, rocks and it's not uncommon for us to ford streams ( my dog is my trusty companion). I wear a 6.5 in most shoes and boots, Salomon excluded I wear a 6 in all Salomon footwear. These run true to size for me. I have another pair of Patagonia shoes, the Finn and the fit is similar. In summary I find the fit comfortable, but snug. The leather has a nice feel not too soft not too hard. They are really water resistant, until you dip your foot in water above the ankle. On the plus side, I filled them with crumpled up news paper for a couple of hours, removed it and by the morning they were almost dry just sitting inside the house. A bit on the pricey side, but the ones I returned were $20.00 more and I didn't think they fit as well for what I needed. I don't have wide feet, but if you do, I don't recommend you buy these without trying them on first.

Never thought I could say this about a Burton product, but these tuning vises definitely suck. So let me elaborate to be fair. At first glance they look strong, but in reality they are wobbly. You have to really press down on your board to make it adhere to the suction cups. Even if you spread them out to give your board stability they have a lot of lateral flex so you can never feel comfortable just scrapping off the wax and brushing the board down. When you finally finish waxing your board and you remove it, you find 4 black rubber disc marks on the board. Yes you can remove the marks with alcohol, but in the case of the Dominant with the leather top, you need to scrub it gently with a brush to get the marks off.

Super nice. These are kind of short shorts as oposed to the Gamut shorts which are a little bit longer. I find these to be a little bit dressier and more feminine, which works well for around town. The also have a zippered pocket, a little bit shallow but perfect if you don't want to haul a purse and you need a safe place for a few dollars or a cell phone. The fabric is nice and soft. I wear a size 10 and they fit I think true to size. By the way true to size to me means only that I have other Arteryx pants and I wear the same size in all their styles.

I have a lot of shorts, but I keep wearing these just about everyday, that's why I have 3 pairs!! I like the zippered side pockets to keep my stuff from falling out. They are heavy duty canvas like material. The legs are a little bit baggy, but I like the overall comfort and feel. They wash and wear well and can take just about anything I throw at them. They are a very casual short. I have then in size 10 and 12. The 10 is a little bit more tailored so it tends to look a little dressier the 12's are baggier, but they suit me perfect for the woods and outdoor activities. I think they run true to size. All my other Arteryx pants are size 10 and the fit is comfortable and nice.

Great fit and great looks. What I love is the straight legs, not too baggie not too tight. If you want a wider boot cut go with the Alibi. The Delegate sit a little low but they don't leave you hanging out if you bend over. i bought 2 pairs and if I find a third color I'll get another one.
