Bio:
I'm just a guy from a small town in Mississippi. I now live in the big "D". Or some of you may know it by the city slogan, "where's your D spot?" Texas, HAHA! Life here isn't too bad, if you don't mind all the dudes who'd rather have a pedicure than to get outside. I try to get out as much as I can, whether it be on my bike, hiking or camping, though this part of the country has little to offer for people like me. I just love to be outdoors. it's just wierd how comforting nature is.

Teva Toachi Sandals - Men's
May 18, 2009
I typically wear size 10 and 1/2. But 10 and 1/2 in these sandals run a bit big.

Origo Granite Peak Series Altimeter Watch

Yes it will keep track of your altitude changes, the instruction booklet explains very well how to do so. The menu is relatively easy to figure out, just play around with it before you try to take accurate info.

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's
February 12, 2009
I'm actually just about the same size and weight (5'10" and 170 lbs). The Precip isn't really that tight fitting (one reason why it isn't $300) so I would definitely go with the medium. Large would drown you. It's meant to be a layering piece which it does really well for the price. Mine has also been fairly durable. * I second that. I'm 6' 175lbs, and I wear the medium. The length is great, and it's fits well over your base and insulating layers. It's a great price for the perfomance, though it isn't slim fitting. The epitome of "bang for your buck".

Snow Peak Titanium Cookware - 3pcs
February 12, 2009
Should be perfect. Just make sure you set the stove somewhere stable. And flat. *Hey Jason, That is the combo that I use, and it works great for me. The stove and a few other small gadgets fit inside the larger pot as well, to save some space.

You may want 1:24,000 maps not 1:100,000 maps. I use this program very often, and Of all the areas I have been, maps for that area have been available. Overall detail is pretty darn good. You can view maps sample maps at Topo.com
