  • Stomping Grounds:

Big/little cottonwood canyon, moab, all in utah.
  • Bio:

I recently had and unfortunate event this past semptember: I got my bikes stolen. Road and Mt. bike, all gone. So I am looking to replace these wonderful machines. I have been teaching skiing for two years now, I love to hike and backpack, and I did enjoy a good bike ride. Love Utah, and Moab is my Mecca.

Mountain Hardwear Nailhead Pullover - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Nailhead Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 31, 2008

If you still have an old 80's sweatshirt, it's time to upgrade to this warm, soft, and highly durable pull over. I cannot get this thing away from my wife, She loves that it's uber soft on the inside and smooth on the outside. Great quality, good fit. I am 5'11", 190 lbs. and got the large. Love it! Just remember it's a very loose fit, not a performance product, made for lounging and walking around town, or as my wife uses it, anytime she is cold she puts it on.

Great wind ripper

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 19, 2008

I had this jacket for three years before giving it to a friend. Breaks through the wind like no other! Very nice zippers, pit zips, and pockets. Does not keep you too warm when the temp drops below 40. Need to put a baselayer on under neath. Reason why four stars is I had to size up to a large to fit my shoulders, but they the hem was too baggy. Not a huge problem. Great jacket

Great multi-use jacket

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Softshell Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 19, 2008

I have hiked in moab in april, skiied all winter in utah, and walked around town everywhere. Great soft shell for a number of sports and activities. I have also used it during winter when commuting by bike. Repels water, snow, and wind. Only reason why four stars is there is not too much room under the jacket to layer, and the layer you do put on underneath must be smooth for it not to catch on the fleece lining. I also wish pit zips were an option for venting during high intense activities. BUY IT, and look cool.

Great midlayer/ stand alone jacket

Mountain Hardwear Compressor PL Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Compressor PL Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 19, 2008

This thing packs into its own pocket, yet unfolds and "de-winkles" so fast you didn't know that it had been packed so small. I have used this under a ski shell for cold days, and as a stand alone when the temps are not so cold. Inner nylon is great for layering because nothing gets caught while trying to put it on. Also sheds light rain and snow, which is a lot better than some down jackets can do. NO complaints here on a mulit-use piece of gear.

light weight hiking pants

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 19, 2008

I like these pants for hiking and just everyday use. The best part about them is the cinch cords around the ankles. Need to cross a stream, convert to shorts and go. Only downside is not zippers on the pockets. My wife loves the back pocket though, because she has easy access to my behind! hahaha! get these they will be great pants for a long time.
