Outdoor Research Mithril Stormshell Jacket - Men's

Outdoor Research Mithril Stormshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 25, 2008

I wore the jacket yesterday in moderate rain fall and stayed completely dry. The jacket has a soft lining that also makes it fairly warm in comparison to just a shell. I haven't had a chance to go skiing yet, but I am pretty sure that it could withstand wind, snow, and cold just as well. Really happy with this purchase.

The North Face Everest 1/4 Zip - Men's

The North Face Everest 1/4 Zip - Men's

I use this for running in colder weather and it works great. It's warm and relatively wind resistant. I've used it for biking as well. The only complaints would be that the 1/4 zip could be longer for better ventilation, and it could use a rear zip pocket (like bike jerseys) to make it more versatile.

I really like this baselayer. It is well fitted, and breathes well. I recently used it on an uphill hike and it kept me warm without getting overheated. I think it will work great as a baselayer for skiing.
