Very simple to use, love it. Range maxes out around 45 meters. Some others have ~55 meter range, otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

My new favorite outdoor shirt! Unlike the rest of my icebreaker stuff, this one smells a little funky. Must have come from a defective sheep.

Very comfy for climbing & biking. The cut of the 34 is a little long for me, I wear 34x32. And I don't like the drawstring, but I just don't use it.

Outdoor Research NightHaven Light Shelter 2-Person

Outdoor Research NightHaven Light Shelter 2-Person

Rating for this product: 3 October 28, 2008

The good:
+Light!
+Inexpensive
+Very sturdy in the wind

The bad:
-Must be very well-vented to prevent condensation (which does not go over well with those who aren't warm sleepers)
-No headroom, which means that if there is any condensation (likely), you're getting it on your head & shoulders & back when you sit up. It has even dripped off the front pole and onto my head, waking me up.
-No vestibule, and only room for 1 big pack + 2 people inside.

Bottom Line: My girlfriend won't sleep in this tent. Hoping to take it ski touring, though :)

Awesome, with a few drawbacks

MSR Reactor Stove

MSR Reactor Stove

Rating for this product: 4 October 28, 2008

Amazing performance most of the time! Drawbacks: 1) Canister performance below 30F sucks. Sleep with your canister in your sleeping bag, or you won't have coffee in the morning. 2) No simmer - if you want to do more than just boil water insanely quickly, look elsewhere. If it had a calibrated knob, it would say "off, 8, 9, 10, 11".

Great value

Highgear Aerial Altimeter Watch

Highgear Aerial Altimeter Watch

Rating for this product: 4 October 28, 2008

Works great, though the buttons are easily bumped. Needs calibration often during the day, but as this is my first altimeter, I'm not sure if this is normal.
