Room for a vest beneath

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 5, 2009

This is a great windproof jacket, and as others have noted, it runs a tad large, but that's okay if you want to add a layer beneath. Wearing it in 15 mph winds and 40 degrees F, I added a vest underneath it and worked all day without feeling constricted. I have a medium, and my stats are 5'8", 145 lbs, 39" chest, 32/33 arms, 15-1/2 neck. The arms are long enough so that they don't pull back onto my forearms when I reach overhead, so they do hang down onto my hand a bit. Hope this helps.

Great binding. Might need adaptor/riser

Garmont 7tm Power Releasable Telemark Ski Binding

Garmont 7tm Power Releasable Telemark Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 April 24, 2009

As others have either speculated or noted, if you're mounting these to K2 skis, you WILL need the adapter (riser) plate. Great binding, though. I haven't had much time on them yet - next year!

Garmont 7tm Power Releasable Telemark Ski Binding

March 27, 2009

I'll second Bud's comment. I thought I'd be okay with this binding mounting directly to the K2 World Piste, and they do not fit without an adapter plate (or riser plate). I wish I had ordered the plate - I'd be skiing on them tomorrow.

Great vest. Fits like Patagonia

Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech Vest - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2009

Since others have commented on sizing, I thought I'd throw my thoughts into the mix. I ordered a small, and returned it for a medium. I'm 5'8", 145 lbs, with a 38-39 inch chest. Trying on other vests in a store, I determined that I was a Patagonia medium, and a The North Face small. The MH vest fits like the Patagonia - I needed the medium.
Having said that, it's a very well made vest. I used it as a layer under a softshell for the morning spring skiing when the temps are still in the 30's and it's perfect. I used it once as an outer layer around town, but it wasn't much of a test.
Hope this helps someone. It's a wonderful vest.
