This is a summer sleeping bag. This is not your GO2 bag in the spring, winter or fall. This is the bag you take on a backpacking trip in the summer, pinching for weight, and willing to sacrifice a little warmth for more movement in the bag. (You can damn well do anything in these spiral stretch technology bags ;) You can always layer correctly to make this bag warmer too.

Im 5'11 and muscular build as well-- and I have several Montbell bags in REG. At first they fill tight, but they will "fit" you perfectly within 1 or 2 uses. Best bags on the market-- Montbells sinthetic fill is toasty. -- I prefer it to 800 down actually. much more durable and def the lightest for sinthetics.

MontBell Super Stretch Burrow #1 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Synthetic

I have the 0 degree version of this bag. I spent a week in southern Utah canyoneering and backpacking-- this bag kept me super warm, when others were cold. My buddy was in the MH Lamina -15 below bag, and he seemed to be cold. I am 5' 10'' 165 and bought the regular- next time i will buy the long- a regular was tight- but still super comfy.

Bottom Line:
Its warm, feels great to the skin and has a nifty zipper that eliminates snags. The hugger feature is nice, stuffing this bad can be slippery, but it compresses down well with straps-- the extra weight is worth the warmth and comfort.

The North Face NSE Tent Bootie - Men's

The inner sole of the bootie does not have any down, and it seems like the lining of the bootie has a small synthetic layer. It's one of those products that you wish was inside out. However when worn with fleece or wool socks these booties will keep your feet toasty. Bottom line: Put you feet in warm, they'll stay warm.
