Well designed bag

Mountain Hardwear Lyell SL -15 Sleeping Bag: -15 Degree Down

Mountain Hardwear Lyell SL -15 Sleeping Bag: -15 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 5 May 1, 2008

Awesome construction. I m 5'10" 170 lbs with wide shoulder. The shoulder width is perfect, and the neck cuff stops the heat leaving the bag. Came with stuff sack, and storage sack! Used it a few times in snow conditions, the outer fabric resist water very well.

A very GOOD re-design

Arc'teryx Borea Backpack - 2750-2990cu in

Arc'teryx Borea Backpack - 2750-2990cu in

Rating for this product: 5 March 3, 2008

This version has the biggest improvement in design, the side pouch is big enough to put in a thermarest and tools. The kangaroo pouch is weden so that shovel can go in and out easily.

The little thing that i didnt like is the 2 cord stops they used at the upper closure, i can see why they want to put the flat pull-string stops rather the simple traditional ones., but it just does not work, but $2.00 can fix it.

I used to have Bora 40 , and previous version of Borea, this version shows the versatility and nice choice of fabric.

Compact

G3 Bonesaw

G3 Bonesaw

Rating for this product: 4 February 4, 2008

If you are looking for a versatile snow saw, this is the one, lightweight and compact. Cuts very well. The only thing that can be improved is the handle ... if they can make it a little bigger, it would fit our gloves/mittens better.

Climbing on steep terrain, you can feel the big difference on the heel lift, much more grip than others.

Mountain Hardwear Beryllium Bib - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Beryllium Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2008

The low-profile Bib is good for backcountry where we constantly shed and put on layers of clothing. The biggest benefit of this bib is the buttock opening, when nature calls, it delivers ... =)

Arc'teryx Bora 65 Backpack - 4030cu in

Rating for this product: 5 August 31, 2004

Awesome design of '04 model of Bora 65, bigger adjustable side-pockets, lighter overall weight. Waterproof zippers. There is some room for perfection. Should consider built-in rain-cover, end-cover for zipper-ends.

North Face Tadpole Tent 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Tadpole 23 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Tadpole 23 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 September 23, 2003

For people who like a cozy tent, this is the one. I bought this in late summer 2003, and used it for 3 different weekends in 3 different terrains. Alpine in Whistler BC, Coast/Beach in Olympic National Park, Hot/Dry in Okanagan. Ventilation is very good. Packed very compact, even with the footprint together. We got heavy rain one night on the coast, we stayed completely dry, the fly has bigger coverage than I thought. Tent lines on the fly are well-designed to provide good drainage away from the tent. Fits 2 men comfortably. I am 5'10", and my friend is 6'.
