big sticks rip

Atomic Atlas Ski

Atomic Atlas Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2010

Started skiing on Atomic this year and I have been nothing but stoked! This is a super charged ski that is surprisingly forgiving for its massive size and straight tail. it stomps super well, rails turns in all types of condition. For me the 192(5'10" 150lbs) is a bit big, mostly best for wide open charging but even still it was reactive and skied well. the 182 is slightly narrower over all so its much more agile, but still has that big ski performance.

Beyond Coastal Sun Care Kit SPF15 and 30

Beyond Coastal Sun Care Kit SPF15 and 30

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2010

If you spend lots of time in the mountains this is the sunscreen for you. I have been using Beyond Coastal's great screen for a while now and its the perfect combo of protection, fragrance free, non greasy screen. on top of that, it comes in many size options so I keep a small one in my pocket, a med size tube in the pack, and large one at home for the pre-aply!

tent

The North Face Trailhead 6 Bx Tent 6-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2009

bomber big tent, its sets up very easy, I just had this thing set up for two weeks in the desert, it withstood high winds continually, it vents nicely and the standard tent stakes were sufficient even in the desert ground. (usually re-bar or large stakes are necessary). THis thing is a palace, well worth the investment, I will rock this tent for years.

rack

Thule Transport T2

Thule Transport T2

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2009

this is the best carry system for DH bikes as well as any bike, its super easy to load, super sturdy, and locks your bike down in a aerodynamic spot, rather that on the roof which creates a huge sail effect.

light it up

Coleman Rugged Rechargeable Full-Size Lantern

Coleman Rugged Rechargeable Full-Size Lantern

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2009

I use this lantern camping, outside on the kitchen table, and inside the tent, its bright, sometimes I toss a small piece of fabric over it to dull the light additionally. and has a fairly long lasting battery life. I Used it for several trips in a row before it finally ran out after a camping mission with several days of use. charger fits in the base, it is good price.

mini press

Snow Peak Titanium Cafe Press

Snow Peak Titanium Cafe Press

Rating for this product: 3 September 10, 2009

Nice and light, smaller than I expected, think of it as a mini press. It will make a nice cup of coffee but it has trouble pouring cleanly. Consider it great for backcountry missions, but poor for replacing your base camp coffee system.

Smith Holt Helmet

Smith Holt Helmet

Rating for this product: 4 September 10, 2009

sweet helmet, great fit, super durable, no need to worry about tiny dings from tossing your gear into the car, fits really well with all of smiths goggles. I like the fit and look of this helmet, it has a skate helmet feel.

Smith Prodigy Goggles

Smith Prodigy Goggles

Rating for this product: 4 September 10, 2009

great peripheral vision with this goggle, it has a large fit, and works well if ya got a large nose like me. I like the custom details that are available by using the Hop up kits. I found that if you need to change the lens, popping out the hop up kit pieces make it easier to reassemble the goggle.
