Perfect Snug Fit

The North Face Cryptic Chunky Beanie

The North Face Cryptic Chunky Beanie

Rating for this product: 5 January 6, 2010

Despite having an average size head, I have trouble finding a beanie that will cover (and stay put over) my ears. However, I am very pleased with this hat. It has a nice, snug fit that stays on even with I'm moving around quite a bit.

I have the black version, and my wife gave it two thumbs up as far as looks go, so I have no complaints. Goes well with my black TNF Apex Bionic Jacket (or my pink Snuggie).

Very Versatile

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 6, 2010

This jacket is like the other reviewers have stated. Good for cool days, or even cold days, if you are on the move. I did find that at 5'11/180 lbs that a Large is a little big on me in the torso and neck, but as I have long arms, I think the Medium would have left me wanting longer sleeves. The extra room does allow for putting on a few layers underneath if you want to stay warm in cold weather without wearing a huge coat. However, a drawcord on the neck would be nice for keeping heat in.

It does do a great job of shedding light rain or snow and keeps the wind out very well.

Nice Jersey

Pearl Izumi Slice Full-Zip Bike Jersey - Men's

Pearl Izumi Slice Full-Zip Bike Jersey - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 30, 2008

You have to love a full-zip jersey, and this one doesn't disappoint, especially for the price. The zipper is smooth, which is crucial for one-handed operation.

It fits well and looks great. (I personally like the red. It matches my bike.)

Works forever, as far as I can tell

MSR DragonFly Stove

MSR DragonFly Stove

Rating for this product: 5 August 28, 2008

I've had this stove for over a decade and I am really terrible at maintenance. Fortunately, I've never had to clean it, or do anything other than just use it.
It packs lightly and takes up almost no space.
Lighting is easy as well. I pulled out my stove a couple of days ago after several years of no use and it started up first try.

Temp/flame control is very easy to control. It is loud, but who cares?

This is the only stove I have every owned, and the only one I ever foresee needing to own. The only way I would ever need another one is if mine were stolen or I dropped it off of a mountain.
