Great Shirt, but Overpriced

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Zip-Neck Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Zip-Neck Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 26, 2009

Like many others have said, it looks great, fits great, and doesn't stink after a long day (or several) of skiing. But like all things Arc'teryx, you are paying a premium to have that little bird fossil logo on your chest.

Bottom line - You will be happy with this top but you can buy just about the same thing from Smartwool or the Backcountry brand for a bit cheaper.

Not Thrilled...

CW-X Insulator Stabilyx 3/4 Tights - Men's

CW-X Insulator Stabilyx 3/4 Tights - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 December 26, 2009

I originally purchased the full length tights but they were uncomfortable inside my ski boots so I sent them back and switched to the 3/4 length. The length is appropriate but unfortunately the 3/4 design just doesn't seem to provide anywhere near the same level of knee support (which is what I was looking for to support my knees through a long day of tele turns...). There is also a thick seam that runs up the middle of the pants which I found to be uncomfortable when I tried to use them for running. The tights are very warm and seem to wick moisture well but the lack of a fly is a bit of a pain when skiing.

Overall, I don't think the marginal increase in knee support is worth the discomfort of wearing these all day.

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Zip-Neck Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

October 18, 2009

Can anyone comment on the length of the torso?

I am relatively tall/thin (6'3'' / 175) and I am looking for a base/mid layer that will stay tucked into my ski pants and not ride up. Will this do the trick? Any other recommendations? Thanks.
