Decent Softshell

Helly Hansen Verglas Dynamic Softshell Jacket - Men's

Helly Hansen Verglas Dynamic Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 16, 2011

Helly Hansen is known for its quality outerwear. This jackets looks very nice for walking around town but this jacket falls a little short of the Helly Hansen name. The lack of features such as powder skirt, internal pockets, sub-par waterproofing, and pit-zips make this softshell not quite worth the price. I've used this shell skiing in 0-20*F conditions and it will keep you pretty warm with a few layers underneath. I would not recommend this jacket for wet conditions, as the waterproofing on this shell is not very good. It does breathe well, so maybe that is where it makes up for its lack in waterproofing.

Ashbury Eyewear Kaleidescope Solid Goggle

October 26, 2009

Do these goggles ship with a second lens? I read on the Ashbury website that they do, but it says nothing about a second lens in the info.

Decent Goggle

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 January 27, 2009

These goggles look, are comfortable, and have a great field of vision. The tack on the back of the strap really holds to your helmet or hat, and the strap is big enough to fit over helmets or whatever. The venting works well in low wind conditions, but when it gets too windy(20mph+), they let in way too much cold air and your eyes and face get very cold. Overall a solid goggle.

Great Ski

Salomon Teneighty Ski

Salomon Teneighty Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2009

These skis are sick!!! Ive only used these bad boys once but that was enough for me to realize the true greatness of these all mountain rippers. Although these are all mountain skis they still tear it up in the park. They have lots of pop but are still stiff enough to stomp landings and tear up the rest of the mountain. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a killer all mountain/park ski.

Nordica Supercharger Ignition Ski Boot - Men's

Nordica Supercharger Ignition Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2008

I use this boot for mostly all mountain and some messing around in the park. I have also used this boot in big mountain terrain in BC and it has even performed well in any terrain including the park. A very versatile boot especially for the price.

Salomon Teneighty Ski

December 9, 2008

Go on the outlet and take a look at the o8 scott punisher for 300 bucks, it is a way better ski then this ski, also look around and see if you can find last years salomon foil, they were a great all mountain ski, you sould be able to get it for around 300 to 350. good luck. This willie guy above me is talking crazy. For groomers and a little bit of all mountain/powder the teneighty would be a great ski for you. Salomon always makes a quality ski. This years model of the teneighty now has a woodcore which will make it a much more durable ski. I would highly recommend it.

Great Park Skis, but it ends there

Line Invader Alpine Ski

Line Invader Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 December 3, 2008

These skis are great for everything inside the park. The butter zones make it easy to pop onto rails and off jumps, and because they are so light they spin very well. Although, if you plan on doing a lot of skiing outside of the park these skis are not for you. They tend to be slow and are pretty unstable with a lot of chatter at high speeds. This should be expected though, considering the invaders are a park specific ski.

Rating for this product: 5 December 3, 2008

These bindings do everything you would expect from a lower end freestyle binding. They eject only when necessary and are very durable.
