Great Shorts!

The North Face Stretch Knit Short - Women's

The North Face Stretch Knit Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 18, 2010

I brought these shorts with on a trip to Puerto Rico to wear as a rash guard layer. They were great for snorkeling, body boarding, ziplining, rapeling, and climbing. They stayed in place well, even in a harness while rapeling down a 90-foot waterfall, and when being taken by 6-foot waves. They are more fitted around the hips, and looser around the thighs. They are a good length and a good weight for hot weather. They didn't get very droopy when wet, either. They are true to size. I am getting another pair...

Awesome Booties!

Sierra Designs Down Bootie Slipper - Women's

Sierra Designs Down Bootie Slipper - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 2, 2009

I ordered size M in Eucalyptus. The color is great and the fit is perfect. I usually wear a women's size 8 or 8 1/2 shoe, and I have just enough room in these for a medium pair of socks (although they are so warm, I probably don't need any wool under them, even on colder nights). At first I thought that the traction dots on the sole would be flimsy and fall off, but so far so good. Don't hesitate to order these!

Super light weight and strong, with a sense of humor. The teenagers on my backpacking trips always make fun of me for it, then they go out and buy one of their own. Great product!

Bomb-proof shoes!

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 1, 2008

These shoes are awesome! They seem bomb-proof, but without too much weight. They survived all sorts of wet, slippery terrain on the trails in Alaska. I would definately recommend them!

Petzl Tikka Plus Headlamp

Petzl Tikka Plus Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 March 12, 2008

this headlamp has held up great under some pretty extreme conditions. the batteries last a long time, especially on the dim setting, and the strap is comfortable and stays in place really well. the button is easy to push, even with thick gloves or mittens on, so you don't have to shed your heavy gloves to adjust the settings. petzel headlamps are definately the best for your money, and this model performs very well.
