I'd like to know how to properly wash my MSR Hubba tent?

I'd like to know how to properly wash my MSR Hubba tent? It says to never wash in a top-loading washing machine, but my fellow hiker washed his in a top-loading machine and just let it dry outside after setting up... PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks

i had bought a pair of the Hudsons a few years back in Tahoe and had them for years and years! from the minute i put them on i didn't want to take them off. i actually slept in them the first night. t.m.a.l.s. dog chewed them up, and had such a hard time finding them again.....untill i discovered this site... i couldn't be more satisfied with their selection and service. Thanks again
