Line Prophet 130 Ski

Rating for this product: 4 December 25, 2009

The 130's were a fun ski to ride on. The are big and want to charge down the mountain with or without powder. They aren't chatty on the groomers and they float like no other in the pow. This ski was difficult to turn on the groomers, so if you want a pow ski this is it and if you want more of a one quiver ski you might look else were. These shred pow like no other. Can't wait to take them out on a day with 36 fresh lake effect pow.

Mountain Khakis Original Mountain Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2009

I love these pants. I have been wearing them as much as I can and they are great. I love the triple stitching, gusseted crotch and the reinforced bottoms around the cuff by the heels. I love the granite color and the suppleness of the serious material.

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2009

Man, these bad boys are fun. Eric Pollard really created a one quiver ski with the bacons. Not only are they fun they pop you on top of pow, they pop you way up on small jumps and the pop you around on the corduroy. I have been looking for a ski like this for a while and from all the hype and rave reviews that have been given the skis did live up to their rep and were sweet. I am 6 foot and 175 and I rode with the 182's. I couldn't find anything that this ski could no do other than me finding out things that I am yet able to do.

Backcountry.com Stoic Inbounds Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2009

This glove has been great for skiing, working around the house, and keeping my hands warm. I have treated them with the nikwax that comes with it and I haven't had to worry yet about them getting soaked and getting my hands cold and wet. The cuff is tight and makes it so that there isn't a lot of bulk under your jacket. I LOVE the full leather and I am stoked get them more broken in and have some sick turns with these bad boyz. I just wish that I could have bought the tan.

Stoic Merino 150 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Stoic Merino 150 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2009

This is my first merino wool base and so far I love it. I am 6 foot and 175# and got the large. It is a good fit though I could have gone with a medium. I like the color of the orange and so I bought the pool blue and they look really nice. The arm length is also really good. It has the thumb holes so that you don't have to worry about cold wrists when you tomahawk down a chute. The only con about it is that I wish it was just a bit thicker. This base has been a constant choice in my outdoor pursuits thus far and it ought to be yours as well. Who wants to smell after a half season of riding?

Stoic Breaker Fleece Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Stoic Breaker Fleece Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 22, 2009

I got this for my b-day and is the best damn thing that I could've asked for. This guy has a nice athletic fit. I am 6'00", 175 and went with the large. It fits great and there is plenty of space to be able to layer underneath. I enjoy that it takes the nip out of the wind and is a sweet mid layer for me. The welded inside pocket is great, along with top quality in stitching. Plus it's made in CANADA! I got the gray and orange and it looks bad ass. I thought it would look a little nineties but it's not like that. If you are looking into a nice hoody to sport round town or to use a mid layer, look at this piece to satisfy your need to have the hottest piece of clothing this winter. Ohh, most importantly, it is soft- not the normal stiff fleece with other wind proof fleeces.

Patagonia R1 Hooded Fleece Pullover - Men's

Patagonia R1 Hooded Fleece Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2009

This is my favorite piece to wear, everyday during winter. Everything from the thumb loops to the hoody is awesome. I especially enjoy the engineering that went into it so that it doesn't ride up the back at all. You can't go wrong with this from Patagonia and is well worth the money.

Stoic Welder Glove

Stoic Welder Glove

Rating for this product: 4 November 22, 2009

got to break these bad boys in with the storm moving in and cleaning up the yard. They kept my fingers warm and dry. i didn't quite see the dwr working, no beading, but hey that is a quick fix. these gloves are going to be my everyday glove and can't wait to break them in even more. the glove fits great and the dexterity isn't bad. i was able to tie trash bags without needing to take them off.

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 22, 2009

I read a lot reviews on this jacket and though there are pro's and con's to the design I feel that it isn't getting props as it should. I originally went with the XL and then exchanged it for the Large. Being 6 foot and 180 with a medium build and broad shoulders the L is great especially when I have put on all my gear that I would be wearing in the coldest conditions, still it is roomy. I like the waist cinched a bit and found that it is difficult to zip up, but it isn't the end. It just takes an additional 2 seconds to get it. This is a great jacket and can't wait to take it the backcountry this fall/winter in the Wasatch. Buy it and you'll be happy.

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 22, 2009

This fleece is great. It is warm and though it doesn't do well at all in the wind a shell combo is the best bet to go with. I am 6'00", 180 and I got the large. It fits great and has been keeping the chill away in the mountains. This is a must have, especially if you don't mind using a shell.

prAna Mojo Shorts - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 4, 2009

I have had these shorts for 4 years now and I am still wearing them as often as I can. I am 6 feet and 175ish and the large fits me fine. They have kept me cool on long hikes, been comfy while climbing, they don't fall down when swimming, and look good enough to wear around town whenever you feel like it. The shorts are great to have and wear, you won't regret buying these.

My 2nd pair of Montrails

Montrail Flow Hiking Shoe - Men's

Montrail Flow Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 4, 2009

My foot is size 11 and with my first pair of Montrails I went with 11.5, so I got these in 11.5 as well. The shoe is great. I broke them in with a 6 mile jaunt up to Elephant Rock and was pretty impressed with the roomy toe box, the sticky grip that it had on rock and dirt, and the stiffness of the sole. I like these shoes thus far, but I am hoping that the 11.5 was a good call with these shoes. I kinda feel that I am swimming in the shoe, though my toes are about a thumb width from the front. I am sure that a couple more hikes will show. Either way this shoe is great for those that pursue more than one thing in the mountains/ hills.

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 5, 2009

I have had this jacket for two winters now and it is a great piece to own. I am 6 feet and weigh 180 and I went with a medium after trying on different sizes. Reason being is that it felt as though the sizes were to accommodate layers underneath, but I wanted it more as a mid- layer. I have worn this alone with a t-shirt and been warm, I have layered it and been warm, I love it. It is a Warm and Windproof layer that won't disappoint.

Montrail Hardrock Trail Running Shoe - Mens

Montrail Hardrock Trail Running Shoe - Mens

Rating for this product: 5 June 2, 2009

Waited until I had some miles on these before I gave it a review. I like to run and hike up in the Wasatch. My foot size is 11 and I got these bad boys in size 11.5. I have run, hiked, and worn these all over and I have yet to get a hot spot or blister from my runs to my 6 hour excursions up in the hills. I love them. I like to have gear that will function in more than one activity, if you are same you will love these shoes.
