Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

January 21, 2012

The Bent's are softer than the JJ's which means that they'll give you a bit less tip dive. I love the JJ's for everything but the deepest and for that I really like the Bent. Hard to gauge the lengths but if you're > 170lbs/6' I wouldn't think twice about the longer length.

Amazing feedback

Head Skis USA Raptor 120 RS Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 27, 2010

The new substantially more anatomic last employed by Head is truly amazing.. the instep response, positive canting really help you feel like you're connected to the ski. I've about 20 days on mine, and have added a ZipFit Gara to it for improved performance... http://www.zipfit.com/

POC Spine VPD Vest Body Armor

February 22, 2010

I'm 6' (72") right on the edge of M -> L/XL... don't want the BP to be poking me in the neck... anyone have any insight as to whether I should "go big"?

Nice pack...

Deuter EH Edge Backpack

Deuter EH Edge Backpack

Rating for this product: 4 February 13, 2010

Impressed by deuter's engineering here... good fit on a 6' frame (long torso), but why can't people get water delivery right... the water compartment could have a bit of neoprene for compression and stability on the bladder itself... and we just have to find a way to keep the "straw" from freezing in the colder EC... Still my go to, 4 season pack. Ski attachment does work well A/cross.

Head Skis USA Raptor 120 RS Ski Boot - Men's

February 13, 2010

not the widest boots @ 98mm forefoot, and with the more anatomical last (closer shell->foot contact at key areas)... if you're a high-instep E, I'd suggest that the Raptor is not the right boot... that is unless you are willing to press and grind. for an e+ I'd suggest something with a 102 or, better yet, see a boot fitter who can make it fit.

I can say this, if this boot fits, it will perform like no other. the anatomical last is the best of any.

POC Synapsis XP Helmet

December 31, 2008

Actually, you can... the visor is attached by 2 screws as well as a small piece of velcro. Ran sans visor all year last year.

Nice Safe Helmet

POC POCito Skull Helmet - Kids'

POC POCito Skull Helmet - Kids'

Rating for this product: 4 December 21, 2008

Really excellent design, helmet adjustment works well. Because of the jawline coverage, this helmet may be a bit harder for a jr. to get on herself. Also the build quality is only "good" as some of the "glued pieces" aren't staying glued. I'd buy it again though
