Ruffwear Doubleback Dog Collar

Ruffwear Doubleback Dog Collar

Rating for this product: 3 July 7, 2010

We originally got this collar for the pooch because he stretches so many out (pulls on his leash a ton). While it is great for not stretching, it is a pain to get on and off a squirming dog because you have to double back and attach the tail of the collar back to itself. For a wiggler, that's a lot of patience they may not have. We ended up getting another collar - but will use this on occasion.

Ruffwear Doubleback Dog Collar

July 7, 2010

This is indeed a collar and not a leash - it's just super long because it double backs through the clip.

Perfect for yoga, great for hikes

Patagonia Morning Glory Tank Top - Women's

Patagonia Morning Glory Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2010

This top is absolutely perfect for the outdoor chick. I love wearing it hiking- the built in bra makes it so I don't have to wear a heavy sports bra, which is great. I'm a B up top though - so someone larger might have to add a little extra support.

One other thing to keep in mind is that it is really long (hits me about 5in. below my normal belt line), making it good for yoga but perhaps not great for just running around town. Overall - a great top!

Sorel Sorellington Boot - Women's

July 7, 2010

Depends on the size of your calf - I am a true 9 and ordered a nine and the foot area is a little big and the calf area is a little small. I would say if your calves are a little bit smaller to size down. So if you're an 8.5, order an 8. Unless you really want to wear thick socks, in which case, order up.

Watch out for dogs!

MSR Hubba Hubba HP Tent 2-Person 3-Season

MSR Hubba Hubba HP Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 June 15, 2010

Love this tent - have used it quite a bit. The only warning I have for others is to watch out for amped up pooches as they can easily tear the mesh. Went camping without my husband over a weekend and the last thing he said to me was "don't tear the tent." Bode, our crazy lab, did just that - three times. Boulder's Rip Stop Repair is on the case and the hubba hubba will return to it's former glory in Moab next weekend.

Love - but with a tweak

Arc'teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 June 15, 2010

After ogling this jacket for close to three years, I finally got it in my grasp last season. (Thanks ODAT!) I absolutely love it and would totally recommend it to everyone I know. The only thing I would change (and hard core gear heads may disagree) is that the area around the face needs a teensy weensy bit of insulation. The flap over the zipper has it, but it stops short and my face gets freezing. (Down with neck gaters!) Other than that - bomb proof.

Rating for this product: 5 January 4, 2009

My sister absolutely loved this watch we got for her for Christmas. We got her the neon pink color and she raved. She says it's very comfortable and we loved that it was from Nixon so we could trust it. Good watch!

Terrible Snowshoe

Atlas E9 Series Elektra Snowshoe - Women's

Atlas E9 Series Elektra Snowshoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 November 26, 2008

This snowshoe in essence, is a good design but terrible in execution. The binding works well, keeps your foot in, but the rubber band suspension flicks so much snow up your butt you are likely to end up with a freezing lower section. Trust me, it is not the way I walk either as it simply always flicks snow up and at you no matter who it is. I really want to get a new pair and I just got these last year!

prAna Poet Pant - Women's

prAna Poet Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2008

These pants are the coziest, most versatile and wonderful pants I have gotten in a long time. Prana tends to fit me perfectly (I have a big butt!) so that was why I bought them originally. The organic cotton and construction of the pant is what makes me love them. These pants will be hard to wear out. Definitely a must-buy!
