Mountain Hardwear Xenon Jacket - Men's

September 14, 2009

I've seen lots of comments stating that this jacket is totally waterproof, which I believe, but can somebody comment on how good the DWR is? Will water bead up and roll off, or will it soak the outer layer of the jacket?

Can somebody who owns this pack please confirm that it has ice axe loops? When I magnify the picture, I see lots of gear loops but no ice axe loop.

The North Face Bilayer Jacket - Mens

The North Face Bilayer Jacket - Mens

Rating for this product: 5 September 29, 2003

Wore this jacket on a hike to the summit of Mt. Whitney. The weather went from warm and sunny to cold and windy toward the top, yet this jacket kept me comfortable and dry the entire time. All I had to do was zip/unzip as the weather changed and I was good to go. Toward the summit I paired this jacket with a light fleece as the weather got worse and stayed warm the whole time. Great product.
