  • Stomping Grounds:

Loves the mountains, lives in Florida :(
  • Bio:

Been racking up outdoors experiences when ever I can find them: backpacking, climbing, rafting, riding, etc. I even count floaty matting for hours in the Caribbean as time well spent, in the name of research, of course.

Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket - Men's - DO NOT USE

Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket - Men's - DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 September 2, 2009

Held up to downpours, hale storms, snow, and whatever else I could get myself into, on our most recent trip to the rockies. Had no problem with several backside glissades. I like the longer cut of this model and the hood design. I'm super stoked to have this hardshell in my arsenal.

Icebreaker BodyFit150 Boxer w/Fly Brief - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit150 Boxer w/Fly Brief - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 2, 2009

Not only do these boxer briefs perform in all conditions, they're also my 'hoping to get lucky' go to briefs. They keep me dry and do an awesome job with keeping the odor down on those long backcountry trips. I've had them two years, wear them all the time, and they still look and feel great. Best feature of all, these are the only boxers I have that my ass doesn't care to chew on. Wedge-free, odor-free, long-lasting and sexy? A+ from me.

FYI: I haven't had a problem with the waist band like others have mentioned. I think they're super comfy.

The North Face VE 25 Tent 3-Person 4-Season

September 1, 2009

On a recent trip, we slept 3 (2 guys,1 girl...each about 5' 10" tall, 170lbs) shoulder to shoulder, comfortably. However, in my opinion, this tent would be extremely uncomfortable (almost impossible) for 4. I've never seen it listed for 4 and would strongly discourage the attempt. 4-season, yes, 4-person, no.

The North Face Rolling Thunder Rolling Duffel Bag - 4800-8400 cu in

August 28, 2009

Although the bag is slightly larger than airline restrictions, we've never been charged. So far, no one has questioned size, but be sure they'll place it on the scale. The bag is a little heavy to start (14lbs 3oz) so be careful of what you pack into it. It holds so much, it's easy to pack it over the standard 50lb limit. Still, a strong recommendation from me. Can't beat the ovarall durability of this bag.

The North Face VE 25 Tent 3-Person 4-Season

August 28, 2009

Actually, the fly DOES have two pop up vents just above the tent's vents. The tent's vents open via zipper, either to mesh, or completely open so that you can access the fly's pop up vents. The fly's vents have little kick stands to keep them open, and to keep the air flowing. Great tent.
