Granite Gear Round Rock Solid Compression Sack

Granite Gear Round Rock Solid Compression Sack

I too feel obligated to offset the mediocre ratings. This compression sack works great. Pulls enough volume out of my rather dated synthetic summer bag to allow for an extra layer of clothing or an extra liter of water. Hasn't so much as threatened to let me down.

Superfeet Trim-To-Fit Wintergreen Insole

December 17, 2008

Just a followup on my prior review. The molded heel cup made the cycling shoes feel stiffer but these insoles will not suddenly turn uninsulated shoes into winter footwear. They got me a generous 5º but I still run into problems below 25ºF. I'm still looking for some thin Thermo-lite fabric or 1/8" thick wool felt to sew up a quilted layer to go beneath them. Anybody know where to get some for a $10 or so? No craft felt please, that stuff is ubiquitous.

Good insoles

Superfeet Trim-To-Fit Wintergreen Insole

Superfeet Trim-To-Fit Wintergreen Insole

Rating for this product: 4 December 17, 2008

I installed these in the slightly oversized Lake MX255 mountain bike shoes I do most of my cold weather commuting in. They were about 1/32" thicker than the original insoles and made a noticeable difference in comfort below 35º.
