fleecy and (too?) warm

Marmot Sharp Point Softshell Jacket - Men's

material, color and size all different than expected. 1) its a bit more insulated than expected (thick fleece on inside). i got this for backcountry approaches and x-country skiing... its pretty warm (hot) for both. i wanted more of just a shell. i consider a garment with pit-zips to be a more 'active' layer. 2) vapor blue is not as bright as shown (second 'guru' photo is more accurate).3) would prefer a more athletic fit. i'm 6' 180 and a large has LOTS of room to layer. but these are all pretty minor-over all its really nice material and quality that i wear often.
