Burton Mint Snowboard Boot - Women's

January 2, 2009

Usually when I size boots I go smaller. I wouldn't try on your boots with the thickest pair of socks you have, because the boot is going to blow out as it gets worn. When I'm trying on boots, I go with what is comfortably tight with just liners because then I know that when my boot does blow out, socks can help me keep the boot fitting longer. It really all depends on the manufacturer, as I am sure you know no one sizes their shoes the same way. Just make sure that your entire foot has good contact with the boot and that there aren't any uncomfortable pressure points or spaces between your foot and the boot. Ensure there isn't any heel lift and that while you can feel your toes at the end of the boot, you can still wiggle them.

Red Mutiny Helmet

Red Mutiny Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 November 18, 2008

I wore this helmet all last season and i totally love it. I never wore a helmet before this one because I couldn't get comfortable in one. Now, it is so comfortable that I never want to ride without it. It keeps my head soooo warm on the coldest days, and dry on the wettest. The brim is perfect for hiding any gaper gap you might get from your goggles. My goggle clip fell off the first day, but I really haven't had a need for it since, so good riddance!

Santa Rocks this one

Deuter Futura Pro 34 SL Backpack - Women's - 2100cu in

Deuter Futura Pro 34 SL Backpack - Women's - 2100cu in

Rating for this product: 4 November 18, 2008

Santa brought me this pack last year and I have used it mostly for climbing trips. I do think that it is pretty great. Very light and nice to use. I feel that some of it's packing space is lost by the Aircomfort system, although that is a rad feature. I don't think I could fit everything I need for an overnight solo (tent, food, sleeping bag, pad, clothes) in here, but definantly a great buy for long day trips or trips where you need lots of gear.

Great all the time

CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack - Women's

CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 18, 2008

I use this pack not only snowboarding, but in the summer too. I found that it keeps ice water cold forever, which is awesome, and when I have stuff to put in there, the pack just takes it all. It holds a lot more stuff than you would think by just looking at it. I love it! Great for day hikes or just being outside all day working.

Perfect

Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket - Women's

Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 18, 2008

I've worn this jacket everywhere from Maine rainstorms on the beach climbing, to backcountry snowboarding in Utah and It has been great. The low-profile zippers are great for wearing a harness over as I can't even feel them. The hood is nice and big so it fits over my snowboarding helmet and my climbing helmet. I'm a pretty small girl, but I ordered the medium anyway cuz it is great for fitting a down coat under in back country. I've recommended this jacket to a lot of people! It is just the perfect rain jacket.

Red Mutiny Helmet

November 17, 2008

Most gogs are designed to fit most helmets. Is your helmet really old or really big? This helmet does not seem too bulky, you should be fine. Beware of the brim lip though.I have found that most goggles fit this helmet. I have worn zeals on it, and they were a little tight. I have Giro now and it is a great fit. Luckily, the brim helps had any gap you may get. Be careful of the goggle clip though, because mine fell off the first day. I haven't had any problems with my goggles falling off without it though.

DAKINE Heli Pro 20L Winter Pack - 1200cu in

November 17, 2008

The moon gets really really cold, and really really hot. not much atmosphere. so uh, it depends. planning on taking a trip?True. The moon does have some crazy temperatures. The shoulder strap is meant to keep your camelback tube insulated. If it doesn't camelback does make bladders with an insulated tube and nozzle, so they don't freeze which could easily go into the pack. Just be sure to suck all the water out of the nozzle after you lock the flow valve, because it might still freeze. I could totally take one to the moon. Without a doubt.

DAKINE Heli Pro 20L Winter Pack - 1200cu in

November 17, 2008

I think that the Heli Pro 20L would fit your frame better, and I'm pretty sure the shoulder straps and hip straps are the same. The Baker pack is only 16 liters though, so I really think it may be too small for you. I like the horizontal board carry of the Heli Pro too. Good for short hikes, and makes an awesome make-shift butt pad. :)

K2 Va Va Voom Snowboard - Women's

November 17, 2008

I rode this board last year, and to me it was like driving a Cadillac. I found it to be pretty stiff, although that contributed to it's awesome pop in the long run. The board is also a lot wider than I am used to so that contributes to it's boat-y feelings as well. Overall I would say it is about a 7 or an 8.

ThirtyTwo The Lashed Snowboard Boot - Women's

September 6, 2008

I actually found that my boots pack out quickly, probably depending on how much you ride...so i buy my boots a little small. I wear a 6.5 street shoe and I bought a size 5 thirtytwo. They were tight for a few days, but once I got used to them they never packed out too big. I still love them and I have almost 300 days on them

Burton Feelgood ES Snowboard - Women's

September 6, 2008

I think that increasing the size of your board by 9cm would be a very drastic difference. Also, you won't weigh enough to really control the board. Remember, hieght makes no difference, just weight. I'm 110 pounds too, and I ride a 143 in the park and a 146 or 147 on groomers or hardpack. I think that if you are looking for a serious powder board i wouldn't go any longer than a 148, and I wouldn't recommend using that for your all-the-time board. If a 141 was sufficient, start by increasing the size slowly. There is no point in making this harder for you.
