Marker Duke Ski Binding

October 24, 2008

You will not find burlier touring bindings. Especially if you are a big guy, these are the choice for you. 16 din. The switch to go into touring mode is under your boot when you click in, so you are never going to "insta-tele". I've done it on friche's and it sux. Won't happen with these. Going big in the backcountry? Look no further my friend.

***2nd Opinion
Nothing is bulletproof, but this is the burliest touring binding available and better than many alpine bindings. Personally, this is one of the better DH bindings I've skied. If you go through DH bindings on a regular basis and need something even beefier, you'll have to go with the trekker...

Failed after 1 week

Black Diamond Prodigy Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 May 30, 2008

It's really a shame because I've always thought BD made the best gloves, but these are an amazing disappointment. After 10+ years with BD gloves, my next pair will be something else...

Great BC Pack

DAKINE Poacher Pack - 2300cu in

Rating for this product: 5 November 26, 2007

I've had this pack for several years now, and it's been fantastic. It holds everything I need for a day in the bc: skins, clothes, food, shovel, probe, ice ax, etc. Everything has a spot or pocket which keeps the clutter down since I know where things go. The access through the back of the bag is what really sold me on this pack, no more digging through the entire topload opening for whatever I need (which is always at the bottom!). The only drawback is bag is on the heavy side. Well worth it if you'll use the technical features though.
