Outdoor Research Trailbreaker Softshell Pant - Men's

Outdoor Research Trailbreaker Softshell Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 10, 2011

not for days when it is just nuking! I now live in UT and have worn them in all conditions with great success, long length side zips are great for temperature control on the skinner, but if I were in the Pacific NW I would likely go with something a bit more waterproof. we can kind of get away with murder here in UT.

I am 6'1" and a medium is perfect. (seems like patagonia and OR share sizing for the most part)

great belay jacket! light and warm! I am 6'1" with long arms and the large is a bit big, if you like a form-fitting jacket maybe go with a medium. I like this a bit bigger than normal, however.

simple cheap alternative to Reverso/ ATC Guide

Mammut Vader Alpine Belay Device

Mammut Vader Alpine Belay Device

Rating for this product: 5 March 10, 2011

My keeper loop has been mangled as per Simon Hatfield, as well. However, this does not affect the performance or functionality of this really lightweight autoblocking-style belay device. this is also 10 bucks cheaper than the ATC guide or the Reverso, which more than makes up for the cosmetic plastic tears on the keeper loop. A great belay device for any sort of multipitch climbing.

And if you're like me... you will drop this sucker before you end up wearing it out, so the reduced price in comparison to the ATC guide/ Reverso is quite appreciated!

Blurr Alfa Pants - Men's

Blurr Alfa Pants - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 20, 2009

I love these pants! they are just a bit stretchy, and not too baggy. I got mediums, usually wear a 32 with a belt, and the sizing was perfect. the built in belt looks pretty tough, but we will see if it lasts. really happy with these simple but comfortable pants. great for bouldering!

I like these guys in the cracks- They are tight fitting but not too painful in small cracks and are really good at smearing your way up the sandstone. Solid in the gym too.
