Don't like pant cuffs

Columbia Santa Peak Set - Infant Girls'

Columbia Santa Peak Set - Infant Girls'

Rating for this product: 3 October 5, 2009

I bought this set for my daughter a couple of years ago when she was 18- 24 months. I got the 24 month size. I really liked the coat- it did not seem bulky on her at all. I did not like the cuff on the pants. She started skiing that winter and I had a really hard time getting the pant over her ski boot. When I did get it over it would only take 15 min for it to pop off the boot and expose her legs to the cold and snow. It was also difficult to get these pants to stay over her regular snow boots too. The zipper on the pants also has a tendency do creap up and come undone. She hated when we tugged and pulled the pants over her boots. Other than putting up with that it was a great little suit. Again, I purchased mine a couple years ago, but it doen't look like they have changed it at all.

Kamik Frosty Boots - Infants

Kamik Frosty Boots - Infants

Rating for this product: 5 October 5, 2009

I got these last winter for my daughter. I thought the zipper was going to be a problem- getting stuck and stuff- but it never was. I really like the Kamik snowboots. Between my sister and I there are 3 kids all 1 year apart so passing down these boots every year works out great. I just buy a gender neutral color. By the time they make it back to my youngest the boots are still in great condition and my nephew can be really rough and tough on clothing and shoes.

NO GAITERS!!

Columbia Whoosh Set - Infant Boys'

Columbia Whoosh Set - Infant Boys'

Rating for this product: 3 October 5, 2009

I bought this suit for my 18 month old son for this winter. I got it in the 24month size. I like everything about this suit except there are NO GAITERS!! After many phone calls I finally found out from Cloumbia that they don't put the gaiters in the infant size pants- 24 months and under. I guess they do put them in the toddler sizes- 2T and up. I don't know why they do this- I think the little guys need the gaiters just as much as the bigger kids. So even though it says there are gaiters in the specs- there aren't. It is just a straight leg pant- no elastic in it or anything to keep snow and cold out. I kept the suit because I liked the coat. I found other pants that would work for me, but I could not find a coat that I liked at a good price so I just kept the one I had. I will use the pants that came in this set as a back up pair. Other than that one complaint the suit has been good so far.

Good Buy

Patagonia Capilene 3 Top and Bottom - Infants'

Patagonia Capilene 3 Top and Bottom - Infants'

Rating for this product: 4 October 10, 2008

I got these for my 2 1/2 yr old. So far they have been great. The only thing that I found kinda strange was that they snapped at the crotch. I thought that was odd for a size 3T. It does help keep everything tucked in but for a little girl who recently potty trained it makes it a little difficult when she needs to go "right now!" Overall I like them.
