Nice Pad

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 4 October 17, 2008

I have the Long size (me, Papa Grande) and the Regular size (12 yr old son). Agree completely with other reviewers on a few things - first off, great pads to sleep on. I sleep on my side and this pad is comfortable. They do not "self inflate" in any time limit I was willing to give them. I suppose if I left them out all day they would, but I can't envision that ever happening. "Several" breaths (more than two, less than a gazillion) are needed to blow them up. I pretty much replace all stock stuff sacks with waterproof ones anyway, and the ones I have for these are larger than stock so I do not have that issue. Overall a very nice, albeit pricey set of pads that I would buy again.

I have a big friggin' head and couldn't find a hat in this style that wouldn't cut off the circulation to my brain. This one fits, finally.

Fit seems fine

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 21, 2008

I'm a big fella (lift and run) and the fit seems fine to me. I use this as my biking commuter jacket here in the NE and the wind resistance is much appreciated as the temp drops. I do sweat alot and have found even Goretex cannot shed my sweat fast enough, this jacket is certainly no exception. After 20 minutes of medium-level biking I can feel the sweat start to pool in spots (arms and backpack area). Dries exceptionally fast though. Definitely would recommend this jacket for this purpose.
