  • Bio:

Straight out of school and trying desperately to fend off the "Real World". Passionately in love with the outdoors. I prefer my sleeping bag to a queen size bed, and happily limit myself to 1 or 2 brews in order to get an early start. I love climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and backpacking.

Fits like a glove on the new Foresters

RockyMounts TieRod Bike Mount

RockyMounts TieRod Bike Mount

Rating for this product: 5 August 23, 2010

Got the blue TieRod a few weeks ago for the aero cross bars on my new Forester. The install was pretty straight forward and effortless. This rack is super low profile compared to the more classic RockyMounts. I really like the bright color, but I can hardly see it standing at ground level. I've gotten up to 75mph and cant hear any noise. The locking cores work well and fit nicely. Next step is to get the through axel adapter for my DH bike, and possibly another TieRod!
