They are nothing special, until you consider that they keep your stuff from being stolen. They work like they should, and I haven't had any serious problems with my old ones either. sometimes the key won't turn, but take the key out and re-insert and it has been working for 5+ years now and just bought another set for my new Yakima boat rack. works well.

Yakima BigStack Boat Rack

Yakima BigStack Boat Rack

Rating for this product: 4 August 7, 2008

I have the yakima bars and had bought the thule kayak rack initially because it said it was compatible and i got it for just a bit cheaper. major problems with it. It rotated on the bars super easy and didn't have a lock, so i had to take it off every time. however, the yakima bigstack is perfect. holds great with less rotation. locks in place on top and has held my kayak on with speeds of 65mph. make sure you use the straps like they recommend inside the box. straps are plenty long. folds down easily so they are not standing up looking goofy too.
