Our daughter is tall and slim. I purchased size Medium for her but had to return them because they were too big even with a belt she would not have been able to wear this pant. So I returned them for a size small. The small fit perfect except the legs were to short. Thankfully this pant have a growth-tuck that extends the pants two inches. Now they are perfect for her long slender body.

Volkl Kiku Ski - Women's

I have last years Kiku. I called them my magic skis. I usually ski differnt ski for differnt conditions. But last year I found that these magic skis worked in every condition. Best ski around it can handle anything. They float on powder, crush the crud, and make nice turns on groomers. They say you can't buy a game but after skiing the Kiku for a season I am not to sure you can't.

These socks are great. On semi-cold days I wear them with just my Chacos. Looks dorky but it takes just enough of the edge off. Super cold days I wear them under wetshoes. I would buy one size down I am a size 9 and ended up giving Lg to my husband and buying a Med. You want them to be tight. I think I would turn around and go home if I forgot to pack these for river trip.

breathability. The precip does not breath very well. Obviously the fit and finish on a Norrona or Arcteryx is the best in the industry. If you don't mind the inside of your jacket feeling like a swamp and the jacket needing to be replaced every year then the precip would be the way to go.

I had a Arcterxy shell made from paclite and wore it with a pack for 150 days and had zero durability issues. In fact, the jacket is still functional today I keep it in my mountain bike pack as back up.

This is an excellent baby carrier. I used it with my daughter until she was about a year and a half. As she grew she enjoyed the forward facing feature. It is very easy to get your baby in and out of the carrier alone. I shopped around for a carrier before purchasing this one and found the Kelty was high quality with ample padding. The padding is generous but not bulky.

Soft-shell is highly breathable and water resistant. If you are in a down pour Seattle style after an hour you will be damp. In Utah we can wear soft-shell during a blizzard and never get wet. This soft-shell will be more waterproof than others because there are no stitched seams this is like a taped Gore-tex jacket but made from highly breathable soft-shell.

Hey, I'm 6'2", I tried this jacket on in the large, and it fit really well. I did a variety of poses (vogue) to see how the jacket moved, and the sleeves were long enough when my arms were lifted up. I am definitely buying one, it is a quality garment for sure.I am 6'0 and wear 40 long sports jacket and the medium fits me tight but the sleeves have plenty of length. Since this is mainly and aerobic jacket I went for the tight fitting medium.

Yes, it is. I was in a TNF San Francisco store today and handled the shoe. It is very flexible and comfortable right off the bat. I would wear it day hiking, no questions asked.This shoe is not ideal for day hiking the sole is thin and not stiff. This shoe is great for hiking on pavement but a trail might be too much.

Like I said in my previous answer, if you are actually trying to stock his entire trip, then you will need 10-15 (which is expensive), but speaking from a climber's point of view, every piece of gear that you are given is welcome. It's warm, even on the coldest days I never need to layer. I never feel the wind, the mink-like fur keeps me warm and never chafes my face. It's cute and it fits well, doesn’t make me look like a boy on the hill or around town. It's functional because you can wear it when it is dumping or sunny on or off the hill.
