Alpine Harness does not have a dedicated belay loop. You run the carabiner through the loop between the legs and the waist belt. Alpine harness is meant to be minimal if you want a belay loop look at more traditional harness. The picture is of mammut harness but you get the idea

Soft-shell is highly breathable and water resistant. If you are in a down pour Seattle style after an hour you will be damp. In Utah we can wear soft-shell during a blizzard and never get wet. This soft-shell will be more waterproof than others because there are no stitched seams this is like a taped Gore-tex jacket but made from highly breathable soft-shell.

Hey, I'm 6'2", I tried this jacket on in the large, and it fit really well. I did a variety of poses (vogue) to see how the jacket moved, and the sleeves were long enough when my arms were lifted up. I am definitely buying one, it is a quality garment for sure.I am 6'0 and wear 40 long sports jacket and the medium fits me tight but the sleeves have plenty of length. Since this is mainly and aerobic jacket I went for the tight fitting medium.

Yes, it is. I was in a TNF San Francisco store today and handled the shoe. It is very flexible and comfortable right off the bat. I would wear it day hiking, no questions asked.This shoe is not ideal for day hiking the sole is thin and not stiff. This shoe is great for hiking on pavement but a trail might be too much.

Buy the smallest bag you can it is lighter and will be warmer. When the bag is too long the footbox gets cold because there is no body parts to warm the end of the bag. The worst part is when your feet hit the empty part of the bag and it is cold waking you up.

If you are lucky Prana large. I am 36 D and a large is ok up top but not around my waist. If you go with a large I am not sure it will fit you around or in the waist unless you are larger there.

Yes North Face runs a little larger but not a entire size. According to your measurement you are on the larger side of meduim in the chest and a large in the hips. If you got the small it would likely be snug around your hips.

In think Paran runs small but the measurements on the sizing chart are good. So the best way to figure this out would be to mesure your chest and see where you fit on the sizing chart.

For children 9 and under I would use the Petzl Ouistiti just in case you kid goes upside down this harness will help hold your child in place. I also like this harness because you can adjust the size from a small child to a larger child quickly.
