Cool Clean Water

Katadyn Hiker Water Microfilter

Katadyn Hiker Water Microfilter

Rating for this product: 5 September 4, 2007

After it's first use, this filter shined. Easy to use and compact design was great to pack in for a weekend, or even a dayhike, and most importantly, my water was clean, tasting great and I managed without getting sick. The carry-case is convenient for trips to the watersource pack free, and even has some extra room for some collapsible water bottles. Great value, this will stay in my pack for some time.

The North Face Dyad 22 Footprint

The North Face Dyad 22 Footprint

Fits the tent, period. That being said, I was able to pack it in with the tent in it's original compression sack no problem.

The Dyad is for lovers

The North Face Dyad 22 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Dyad 22 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 September 4, 2007

Marketed as a 2 person, I'd have to argue and say 1 couple, but there's nothing wrong with that! Great tent, easy setup, looks sharp too. Like other reviews, I did notice condensation too, but that's what you get from a single wall. My only real complaint was storage space, but then again, with an ultralight tent, this isn't surprising. Easy enough to overcome though, a 5x7 tarp, some guy lines, and a stick added a great vestibule to keep our stuff dew free. Bottom line: You'll be snuggling with your tent mate, even if you don't want to.
