Lorpen Merino Midweight Hiker Sock

Lorpen Merino Midweight Hiker Sock

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2007

Want a well manufactured merino sock that just does everything well - get these.

Not quite a full-blown winter-warmth sock but seriously cosy. Highlight is the quality construction - the finish and materials will last a long, long time.

Highly recommended.

Wouldn't have contemplated without the discount!!!

Mountain Hardwear Formosa Crew Long-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Formosa Crew Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2007

I wouldn't have contemplated trying/buying these shirts at RRP. However, I tried one at US$25 and was SERIOUSLY pleased. Great material and cut in a lean, cosy style with suitably long arms.

I've bought 4 of these shirts - I just love them - I'm hoping that MH continue to produce them.

The colours are a little challenging but being male, I have no idea about thes things. Girls seem to really like the individual colour/texture/style of the garment.

Top recommendation.

Needed a pair of waterproof pants. Wanted something that was going to work and was a simple, neat design. OR Paclite pants are exactly that, light, simple and well manufactured. Highly recommended.

Great day walking boot!

Mountain Hardwear Formosa Crew Long-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Formosa Crew Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 19, 2007

I wanted to give these 5 but to do respect for future customers, I'm giving them 4 stars - primarily 'cos some people might want to stretch these boots' operation beyond a couple of days/day walking capacity.

If you are solely interested in a day boot that's well made, grippy and reliable, these are 5 stars at a great price, however, if you think you can extend these boots into multi-day, tough terrain/conditions, they're only 3-4stars and REALLY you should be contemplating something more appropriate.

That said, I like them for what I use them for and notice they provide great support/traction for 90+15kg when descending rocking/lumpy trails.
