I used the 22"-24" size range from the sizing chart in a circle formula to get a diameter of roughly 7.3". Sorry not hands on measuring, but hope that helps.

This pillow works great, especially for long trips by plane or bus. Although it's too large (it is the large size) for most people to take backpacking but in situations where you can spare some space it's worth having. This made the 80+ hours I spent riding on a bus around New Zealand much, much better. It compresses well but still gives a decent amount of support. I'd say if you have the room, it's worth it.
