Rossignol Phantom SC80 Ski

December 23, 2010

I have a pair of 185cm sc80's and use them on midwest hills. There is no off piste, it's all groomer, but despite a lack of length in runs I can still get speed and lay down some base shattering turns. My point in saying that is that even in a length that needs speed to be lively these skis still rip, even on the flatter parts. I would love to see what a pair in the 168/170 region is like.

Rossignol S3 Pommier Alpine Ski

December 11, 2010

Consider that if you get an all mountain ski it excels at nothing. Get what's suited to what you ski most, which is probably icy, etc. When you go out west you can demo a pair of skis, or bring yours, or whatever. I wouldn't get these for East coast skiing though.

Volkl Chopstick Alpine Ski

Just to clear the air for people that are confused, if you see Josh Christensen post something, there's a 99% chance he's entirely right about what he's saying.
