Marmot Kompressor Plus Backpack - 1100cu in

Marmot Kompressor Plus Backpack - 1100cu in

Rating for this product: 2 July 26, 2011

It seemed good at first - lightweight and compactable. It got caught on a tree branch and got a huge rip on the 6th use. My other backpack lasted about 10 years through constant abuse. So I guess there is a price to pay for crappy lightweight material. Also Marmot wouldn't have it fixed for me. So much for standing by your products and a 'lifetime warranty'!

Black Diamond Lightsabre Bivy Sack

Black Diamond Lightsabre Bivy Sack

Rating for this product: 1 December 21, 2009

Used this for 30 days on a bike trip through Baja, Mexico. Condensation inside the bivy caused me to wake up soaked every morning. Even with the fly completely open and then the mesh completely open, still woke up wet. Eventually slept out and used it as a ground sheet. Thought at first it was the nature of bivy's until i met up with a friend with a different bivy who didn't have this problem. Can't get much drier than a Mexican desert so can't see where this bivy would be useful - sent it back.

Great boots!

Garmont Xena G-Fit Alpine Touring Boot - Women's

Garmont Xena G-Fit Alpine Touring Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 1, 2009

I wore these right out of the box with only minor adjustments and no heat fitting and have never had a problem. This includes long day and multi day trips. They are beefy and solid so you can actually enjoy your extreme downhill turns instead of doing the snowplow, knock-kneed survival skiing you sometimes see. The SAC cheap price is great! They are a decent colour too instead of the flashy neon orange/green/ etc.

Icebreaker SuperFine190 Mako Crewe Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Icebreaker SuperFine190 Mako Crewe Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 8, 2008

This is the only shirt I wear for running in cooler weather now. It's light, warm, comfortable and fits nicely under a wind jacket if necessary. It's fitted but not tight, so hangs nicely without being baggy. I really like the dawn/violet colour combination as well. I got to get another one!!

Not impressed

Montrail Continental Divide Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Montrail Continental Divide Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 September 8, 2008

I bought these after the Nitrus shoes disintegrated after a couple of months. The Continental Divide shoes were more comfortable right from the start. Unfortunately they didn't last either. I'm still finding bits of tread all over the place. The mesh or whatever that is also cracked and has holes after only 2 months. I am hard on shoes cause 100% of my runs and races are on trails and in the mountains. But, all the same, I'm done with Montrail. Switched back to Adidas (Supernova Riots). I've had great luck with Adidas trail shoes!
