Osprey Packs Exos 58 Backpack - 3356-3722cu in

July 17, 2009

Hi, can the hip belt be easily folded up (prefer stay attached, not removed)? My next trip involves a lot of plane flights. Just wonder if I can fold the hip belt up and press in tight to fit into the overhead of a small size commuter plane? Aka, is the hip belt "soft" or "hard"?

Thanks,
-Steve

Black Diamond Tripod Bivy Bag

April 10, 2009

Thanks Andrew. I have a backpack rain cover. Now I need to make sure to keep the straps, belts etc off the ground. (Need to leave my heavy Bibler Ahawhnee 2 behind for my next trip ...)

What happens to my backpack on a rainy night?

(Most probably I can keep my boots and other light items inside the bivy ...)

The correct jacket for the right purpose

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Men's

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 5, 2007

This is a great lightweight small tightly packed jacket I have been for. It can be comfortably worn under the outer coat, plus a raincoat on top. I traveled long distance to remote areas of exotic mountain or rain forest. Highly recommended for its intended wearing purpose.
