Ocean Minded Seaweed Sandal - Men's

Ocean Minded Seaweed Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2009

Finally got a chance to wear these sandals for a full Saturday. The best complement I can give them, about 3/4 of the way through the day I forgot I was wearing sandals/flip flops. Usually around the 1/2 mark on a Saturday, my feet would be killing in regular sandals, but not these. The support is great, the cushion is great, the strap is comfy and the looks aren't too shabby. Totally stoked on these.

Under Armour Boxer Jock - Men's

Under Armour Boxer Jock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2009

These are my first experience with Under Armour, and the reviewers below dont lie, these things rock. So far I have used them hiking and bike commuting, and my stuff stays dry and steady, and chaffing is non existent. I have two pairs, and I will probably pick up a couple more.

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2009

Picked up the Woodland colored version at the end of the season, haven't had a chance to fly with it yet, but since I bought it I decided to test it out on my way to the Sundance resort. My Burton custom fit without a problem and my girlfriends board fit with her small binding still attached (most of the time the second board would have to go in with the binding removed, her bindings are strange). Padding seemed good, and the boot pockets are great. Still had room for gloves and jackets stuffed in, but definitely not enough space for this bag to replace a board bag and a duffel for a longer trip, which is fine by me. Originally bought a Burton Wheelie Board Case, but the thing was HUGE and would have cost $$ to check on a flight by the time I filled it. This Dakine on the other hand is about perfect, my GF and I can check our boards and some gear, and carry-on the rest. Only negative is the amount of locks needed to secure the boot pockets.

Real Leather! So I returned

Scarpa ZG65 XCR Hiking Boot - Men's

Scarpa ZG65 XCR Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 12, 2008

First off, I returned these because they contain REAL LEATHER, not just synthetic. The uppers are a mix of Cordura, what appears to be synthetic leather, and actual leather, so they were a no go for me.

As for fit I'm on the small size of a 9.5, I usually wear 9.5 but in some shoes/boots I'm a 9. The boots fit great for me, enough space in the toe box for my feet to swell a bit, but without swimming around in them. They are on the narrow side of regular, so if you have a wide foot I would avoid them.

The collar is firm but not too tough, and the tongue is perfectly padded for hiking and backpacking. Overall construction is top notch for a boot in this price range, and they are made in Romania.

Bottom line:
If you don't mind the leather, and your foot is not wide, this could be a great hiking/light backpacking boot for you.
