10 year old loves these

The North Face Nuptse Boot - Boy's

The North Face Nuptse Boot - Boy's

Rating for this product: 4 January 9, 2009

My son raves about these boots. They are very light and somewhat compact (for a snowboot) so they fit into his backpack for snow days. The don't seem to be as heavy duty as some other boots so I'm not sure how they'll stand up to a long day playing in the snow but they're great for school. We haven't had enough snow yet to try them for a big day of play but I'll update after that. Otherwise he loves them and doesn't want to take them off.

Burton Snowboard Binding

Burton Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2009

I bought these for my 14 year old son. We were both very pleased with them. My son thought they looked great and gave him good support on the mountain. They were more than I expected for the price and exceeding our expectations.

K2 3 Speed Jr. Ski Pole - Kids'

K2 3 Speed Jr. Ski Pole - Kids'

Rating for this product: 4 January 9, 2009

I bought my 10 year old son these poles and they worked just fine. He's about 4'10" and I got him the 42" which seemed just right with a little growing room. He thought they looked really cool which is important to 10 year olds so he was happy. These were a good value since I've seen other kids poles at local sporting goods stores for $60+.

I loved these...

Burton Midweight Shant - Women's

Burton Midweight Shant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 9, 2009

I'm a 44 year old mom and loved these! They are very comfortable and I especially liked to shorter length so there wasn't all that extra fabric in the boot. The fabric is soft (more like a cotton than a shiny lycra) and they have good give. They are a lower cut that sits more on the hips than the waist and I think the sizing runs big (I wear a size 12 and fit just fine into the size large). By the sizing chart I should have bought an XL.

We only used these over a weekend but them seemed just fine. I bought my 10 year a size large which are a little big but give him some growing room. We didn't have any problems with ripping but maybe it's different since he skis and they were a little big. My son really liked to the look and they seemed to keep his hands warm.

Burton Shaun White Cosmic Delight Pant - Men's

Burton Shaun White Cosmic Delight Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 23, 2008

Be careful on the sizing. I have a 14 year old who is skinny (29" waist) but with size 11 feet. I bought him a small which fit him great EXCEPT...he has Burton boots and can barely get the bottom of the legs over the boots - REALLY tight. Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I should have got him a bigger size I guess since his feet are so big. Otherwize they are great pants.

I purchased this long underwear for my 10 year old. He wears a size 12 and I got him a large which fit perfectly. They are a nice weight - the material is soft and sort of a little like a flannel but stretchy. He loves them and likes to wear them as pajamas.

Rating for this product: 4 December 15, 2008

I bought these for my 14 year old snowboarder. They are pricey but he loved them. He wears a size 29 waist jean and the small fit him with a little room to grow. I gave them only four stars due to the price.

Lot's of compliments and comfortable

KEEN Zerraport Sandal - Women's

KEEN Zerraport Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 24, 2008

The first time I wore these I got lots of compliments on them. They are very comfortable but, like other Keen sandals, I ordered them a half a size larger than I normally wear because they seem to run small. There was no rubbing or chafing even with the first wear so this is a big plus for me! Love 'em...

comfortable and warm

Burton Cruizer Insulated Pant - Women's

Burton Cruizer Insulated Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2007

These snowboard pants were great! I actually ski but bought them because they are fuller through the hips which is great for us over-40 moms! I bought a large and generally wear a size 12. They were a little big but had straps to adjust at the waist so I was able to cinch them in - rather have them a little big then small. We skied on a fairly windy day with temps around 18 degrees and my legs were never cold with no liner pants on. They have some fleece lining inside and also some satin in areas so they were really comfortable. And to top it off my 13 year old son thought they were cool so, overall they were a hit!

Does a good job

Yakima Spare Joe

Yakima Spare Joe

Rating for this product: 4 June 15, 2007

Overall it's a good value for the money. The directions for installation weren't the clearest but I figured it out (took about 20 minutes to install). I have a Honda CRV with the offset spare tire - the rack adjusts for an offset spare so that seems to work okay. My bike tire still sticks out about 6 inches beyond the driver side of the car but that didn't cause any problems on the major road trip I just went on. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that some of the major parts are plastic - we'll have to see over time if they hold up.
