I am a skier but in the off-season I'm a climber, hiker, camper, biker, runner, swimmer, etc. I get off on any time I can get outside and get a little muddy or bloody, the true sign of a good day.

Ugly but pretty good pow skis

Ninthward Rory Silva Pro SFS Alpine Ski

Ninthward Rory Silva Pro SFS Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 3 March 18, 2009

Picked up these skis on a cheap deal right before sending out to Utah and they were great in some deep pow. Not too heavy like some and damn are they about as ugly as it gets but they're a good deal if your not willing to spend a lot. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of the Ninthward's and especially of the durability since they are such a young company. But I've got a couple days in them and haven't had any issues so far. The flex on them is a little stiffer than some other pow skis but they were pretty responsive. I skied a lot of trees and steep chutes and they held up just fine.

Awesome fart bag

Marmot Helium EQ Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Marmot Helium EQ Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 5 March 18, 2009

This bag is super light and really warm. I've yet to use it on any really cold nights (like below 30 degrees) but so far I haven't had any issues. I'm 5'8" and I have an XS and it has plenty of room. The stuff sack it comes with is pretty tight and every time I think there's no way it's going to all fit in there but it always does.

I love how these fit

Dragon Gigi Ruf DX Goggles

Dragon Gigi Ruf DX Goggles

Rating for this product: 4 March 18, 2009

I love how these Dragon goggles fit on my smaller-ish face. I've always been happy with their lenses too which have never had fogging issues with me. I've heard friends with big dumb faces say they are too small but I've never had an issue. Graphics are funky and pretty cool once you get used to them a little bit. These come with an amber lense and a bright sunny day lense. Most of the time I've used the amber but I can't wait to bring out the other one during some spring shredding. so far so good.

Mad Rock Mad Pad Crash Pad

Mad Rock Mad Pad Crash Pad

Works just as good as other pads a lot more expensive and never had any trouble with the cushion. Plus it makes a good chair in a jam.

Good for the price

Sessions Uptown Jacket - Men's

Sessions Uptown Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 2, 2008

I was looking for a cold weather jacket and this hasn't let me down yet. I've worn it through some single digit and negative degree weather and it's done its job of keeping me warm. Can't really complain for the price.
