Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Binding

November 18, 2011

I would go with the 100 mm brake. I also have a pair of 94 mm waist skis and the 100 mm brake fits perfect. The 90 mm would probably work also, but you would need to bend the brakes slightly.

Hestra Army Leather Patrol Glove

I'll compare to cowhide leather which hestra uses in some gloves. The army "goat" leather is tougher and will resist wear better. Intially it will be stiffer, compared to the cowhide. I've had these gloves for several years without any noticable wear.

The 2010 powderbowl is exactly the same as the 2009 jacket, only the colors have been updated.

Hestra Heli Glove

October 31, 2008

No. The palm/fingers of the glove are leather and the remainder of the glove is nylon. There is a inner synthetic liner which is removable. I have found the combination to be very warm even with temperatures in the teens and sub zero, as many mention below. But even in warm conditions the glove breathes well. Overall, an amazing glove. You can't go wrong with any of hestra's products.

Patagonia Powder Bowl Jacket - Men's

October 6, 2008

Yes. Patagonia still makes the primo flash jacket, which they had last year (it has a stretch fabric with a fixed hood). Just like the old primo, the powder bowl jacket is a shell with mesh liner, H2No barrier, removable hood and powder skirt. They also make the powder bowl in an insulated version (see question below). It is very similar, but with Patagonia's thermogreen insulation (a synthetic insulation that is recycled).

Amazing

Hestra Army Leather Patrol Glove

Hestra Army Leather Patrol Glove

Rating for this product: 5 September 16, 2008

The best glove I have ever owned (I have tried a lot - sypder, swany, cloudveil etc.) I have used mine for a year, including at Steamboat during sub-zero temperatures. They are extremely warm, and comfortable. The leather conforms to your hand after use. They are very similar to the heli glove except with an under the cuff design. Also the liner is removable. Be sure to use the leather treatment to keep water from soaking the leather.
