Arc'teryx Delta LT Zip Pullover - Men's

Arc'teryx Delta LT Zip Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 5, 2005

I own 4 of these puppies now (in various colors) and really love them. I’ve found the material and workmanship first rate-no small feat these days when it comes to clothing. The fleece itself breathes very well so I've had no problem wearing one of these hiking in AZ/UT during summer mornings. The cut of this particular model is a little longer than usual (the now difficult to find Delta Jersey is cut shorter) and at 6'4" it fits me better than any other 'non-tall' size shirt I’ve ever owned. At home (in MD) I wear one of them on almost any given day Oct-April. The rest of the year it’s usually too humid here for fleece, but in drier realms, you could probably get even more use from it. They wash and dry quickly and also make good pillows when camping. Wear it solo, or over a T-shirt.
Enjoy!

Luggage?? Travel Bag ??

Gregory Reality Backpack - 4350 cu in

Gregory Reality Backpack - 4350 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 June 18, 2003

Referring to this great overnight/weekend pack as luggage is nonsense in my opinion. I took it to Keet Seel and did the overnighter in great comfort. That’s 17 miles thru the high desert with tent, stove, bag, food, camera(SLR), tripod (full size), *and* two gallons of water and it performed flawlessly. The REALITY is a great 2-3 day pack that might also serve as luggage, I don't know, I have luggage for that purpose. I also know that another member of my hiking group was wearing another well-known brand of pack and had to place an entire sheet of moleskin on his lower pack. He was NOT wearing a Gregory....

C-mac supreme!

Mary Janes Farm Organic Chilimac

Mary Janes Farm Organic Chilimac

Rating for this product: 4 June 18, 2003

Tried it on the trail for the first time. This stuff is ULTRA convenient and tasty as well. Cooks in the pouch, no fuss no muss. I agree though, the 1.5 serving ('Backountry' I believe) is a little small if you've been going at it all day. I’m 6'3" 190 and I ate a 1.5 c-mac and a 1.5 mashed potatoes. Dehy-food has come so far since the sawdust of the 70's.

The North Face Slickrock Tent 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Slickrock Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 June 18, 2003

Slickrock is a good bit of tent for 4 pounds! It goes up lickety-split, and the materials and construction appear to be first rate. I haven’t used the fly yet so I can’t comment but ventilation is average to great depending on which way (direction) you set up the tent. My only problem is with the length. If you're 6'1'"(I’m 6'3") or taller you *might* run out of room. I suppose I could have staked it out a little tighter for a smidgen more
length but I ended up sleeping diagonally instead. But for the minimal weight this tent brings to the table, that’s doable.
