Expensive, But Does The Job

The North Face Base Camp Laptop Sleeve

The North Face Base Camp Laptop Sleeve

Rating for this product: 4 October 15, 2009

The TNF Base Camp Laptop Sleeve held my 17" MacPro with ease. It is well padded and made. I bought the red (so I can keep tabs on it when traveling), but you may want the black if want a more professional look. There is an organizer pocket for pens and flash drives...I was able to stuff a mouse and the AC cord, but it was tight. The only downside is the price, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Good shoe

The North Face Esker Ridge Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Esker Ridge Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2007

The The North Face Esker Ridge Mid shoe is comfortable and sturdy. The sizing is true, but they were a little wide for my somewhat narrow feet. The soles are adequate, but wished they were Vibram. These shoes are best for light hiking.

Snazzy shirt, but...

The North Face Illusion Print Shirt - Men's

The North Face Illusion Print Shirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 20, 2005

The TNF Illusion shirt is sharp looking and comfortable. In addition, the fit is just right. My only complaint is that the design is printed on - no colored thread. Up close, it kind of gives the TNF shirt a cheap look.

Nice TNF Shirt

The North Face Chimney Plaid Shirt - Men's

The North Face Chimney Plaid Shirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 19, 2005

The TNF chimney plaid shirt is comfortable, nice-looking, and affordable. Not techie or expensive like other west coast brand shirts. Just a nice shirt to wear to work or out to play.

Ligh and Fast

The North Face Blaze Low Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Blaze Low Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 21, 2004

The TNF Blaze is part of the Flight Series...gear designed to be light and fast for adventurers on the go. The Blaze are multipurpose shoes so you can do some trail running, hiking, or just wear them around town. These shoes are light (running shoe-like), yet they are supportive enough for hiking (very light loads only, i.e. fanny pack loads). In addition, I found these shoes to have adequate cushioning and they are durable. The true test for these shoes is when I took them on a 3 day outing in Yosemite. The Trail Grip soles provided good traction on both the dirt and granite domes though I would prefer Vibram or sticky soles. The uppers allowed my feet to stay cool. I have been wearing TNF boots, shoes, and sandals since they first came out a few years ago...the footwear R&D at TNF has improved considerably and it shows in the Blaze. They proved their mettle and have become a favorite of mine. If you want a more supportive low top with a Gore-Tex liner then check out the TNF Fury (another favorite of mine).

Versatile TNF Shorts

The North Face Swift Short - Mens

The North Face Swift Short - Mens

Rating for this product: 5 August 16, 2004

I took these shorts with me to Yosemite. From rock hopping to hiking to swimming, this short did it all. Light in weight, but fabric is durable. I liked that it dried very quickly. If you like to travel light and can take only one pair of shorts...this may be it.
