MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Insulation Jacket - Men's
October 25, 2010
Look at the sizing chart. If all your measurements are withing the range of the Montbell size medium, for example, AND you intend to wear the jacket over fairly thin layers then go with the medium. If you are going to wear the jacket over thick layers then go up one size. In the evening, when backpacking, I wear this jacket (or the Montbell Inner Down Jacket) over lightweight or medium weight long underwear and a thin wind breaker. My Thermawrap is the size suggested by the Montbell size table. If it is windy I wear a thin rain jacket over the Thermawrap to cut down on windchill.

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Sleeping Pad - Women's
October 12, 2010
Position the pad so that the "head" end is an inch or so above your shoulders. You don't need to sleep with your head and neck on the pad, just put your down jacket inside your sleeping bag stuff sack and use it as a pillow. That way there is plenty of length for a person 5'9" tall. I'm 6' tall and this pad is long enough for me shoulders to feet.

Macpac Amp Light 35 Pack - 2075-2198cu in
August 21, 2008
MacPac sizing is hard to understand. For example, they say the back length for their largest size is 15 to 19 in, and the height range is 6 ft 1.5 in to 6 ft 6.5 in. Who would be that tall and have a torso length that short? I don't know which measurement to go by. Any clues, especially for size 3?
