Huge and heavy

Patagonia Capilene 3 Top/Bottom Set - Infant Girls'

Patagonia Capilene 3 Top/Bottom Set - Infant Girls'

Rating for this product: 3 August 10, 2011

Patagonia's infant sizing runs super large, be forewarned. I bought a size 3M for my three month old, and was shocked at how HUGE it is. She's my first child and i'm not sure how fast she's going to grow, but compared to some of her other clothing, (Carter's 3M fits her perfect) She might fit into it better at 6 months. BUT i have not washed it yet and so i suspect that it could shrink maybe a little.

Also I could only find midweight capilene. The material seems too hot for a summer hike, and maybe better suited as a base layer for winter OR a sleeper for summer camping.

I live in utah and its hot in the summers. I was looking for something lighter and cooler for day hikes, to keep sun and bugs away. It was also not as soft as I had hoped it would be. I would much rather put her in a lightweight bamboo one piece than this.

Good tent

Big Agnes Emerald Mountain SL1 Super Light Tent: 1-person 3-Season

Big Agnes Emerald Mountain SL1 Super Light Tent: 1-person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 June 5, 2009

I bought this tent after a lot of research. I was really looking for the most amount of space and the littlest weight and for that... this tent delivers.

I would feel comfortable sleeping cozily next to another person in this tent but there's not really enough space in the vestibule for 2 packs and boots

My only issue with this tent is the door. I'm sure it would work fine for some people, but i tend to be super picky when it comes to functionality. I like to be able to sit up in bed and unzip with one hand but for some reason the way the zipper is aligned, I have to use two hands which is kind of annoying when i'm trying to sit up at the same time.
