Mountain Hardwear Wicked Snap Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 8, 2008

I wear this shirt for golfing. It's very comfortable; but I have to agree they on smallest little things, I have to use scissors to clean up the thread pulls. Buy one size up; I wear Small but have to reorder for medium size since the Small size shirts made me look like the Incredible Hulk.

They are fine but...

Bridgedale Endurance Trekker Sock - Men's

Bridgedale Endurance Trekker Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 25, 2007

I am looking for socks that wick away moisture. I had serious blister problems during 260+ mile hike last year. I tried this along with Bridgedale lining socks. After 8 hours of walking around town, I noticed some moisture in between the toes. Hence, I decided to get the Bridgedale Light Hiking Socks and SportSlick. Hopefully that will do the trick.
I will keep using the midweight socks during winter months in Wisconsin - hence I don't regret buying them.

Good for running but not sure about hiking

Patagonia Lightweight R4 Vest - Men's

Patagonia Lightweight R4 Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 24, 2007

I live in Wisconsin and I tested it during one of my morning runs. It was 55 degrees outside and windy - the vest holds nicely. I was looking more into using it for my 200+ mile hike this year but being above 10000+, I don't think this vest will do the job. Perhaps, the lightweight R4 jacket will do the tric. However, it is 18 oz - so I am taking my Patagonia PuffBall (11 oz) for the trip since it works well last year - although bulkier.

Good for everyday use

Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 6, 2007

I have Patagonia dragonfly that I use when I hike. However during hail storm in the Sierra last year, condensation left me wet. So I was looking for something 'to fix' the condensation problem - I am still not sure if I am going to use this for the hike since the dragonfly is only 2 ounce. However, I use this jacket during rainy days and it works well to shelter me from the elements.

Forever my rain jacket

Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Rain Shadow Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 14, 2007

I have had Patagonia dragonfly for 4 years now. During my trip to the Sierra last year, in the hail storm, I realized that I need a better rain jacket - although still light. I ordered the medium size in the beginning but then exchange for small - having lost 10 lbs in 1 year. This jacket will be used for all activities - a great buy!
