The North Face Velocitee Crew - Short-Sleeve - Women's

October 30, 2009

I normally wear a Med. and had to get this in a large. I'm a size 4 but long waisted and I don't like shirts at my waist when I'm moving around a mountain with my family. I still didn't think it was exceptionally long. Also, it loves to stay wrinkled which bugs me. I wouldn't order again. Disappointing from TNF.

Interesting . . .

Mountain Hardwear Mynx Fleece Jacket - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Mynx Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 January 27, 2009

I ordered this jacket and was disappointed in the smallest item - the zipper. The back of the zipper is protected from your skin, but if you zip it all the way up, there is no guard that goes up over the top of the zipper such as you'll find in Patagonia or TNF. Mountain Hardwear dropped the ball on this feature. For this price, I expected my chin to be protected from the end of the cold, rough zipper. Other than that flaw, it's fairly warm. Great color - cinnaberry - almost like a wine color.

Awesome fleece. Live in Colorado and fleece is a must! It is so soft and great fitting. Keeps the core very warm. Polartec is a better type of fleece than most, especially for warmth and durability. You'll love it!

Warmth to go!

Patagonia R4 Fleece Jacket - Women's

Patagonia R4 Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 9, 2008

Great jacket, but was a bit thick, as some people commented it was lightweight, but I wouldn't classify it that way! Other reviews said it ran small so I ordered a size bigger. Depends on what you want to put on underneath as to the size. For a single layer or two, I wouldn't order larger. Sweater and such, perhaps a size larger but if I had to order again, I would order my normal size. Too bad the wrists don't adjust to make them smaller and keep the wind out more. It's warm and great outdoors for Colorado. It can be a bit stiff on first wear, and since I haven't washed mine yet, I don't know if it will loosen up. It's still a great jacket so enjoy!!

Theta AR Jacket - women's

Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket - Women's

Awesome, lightweight jacket but don't let the weight fool you. This jacket is very well sealed at the seams, yet provides ample ways to release body heat as needed. If you have long arms, this jacket will take care of you. Someone in another review felt it ran big but I felt it was pretty true to size when considering the shoulders and having more than 2 layers on, but I don't like it tight across my shoulders either. I like to have freedom of movement with no tightness to remind me that I'm wearing something. It's worth every penny of the sale price. Enjoy it! It pays to buy quality products when you spend time outside, especially in the cold!
