Wake up, drive to work, find coffee, then wait for the Gond-ie to start spinning. That sums it up, if it's not snowing I am looking for where it is...maybe playing with the kids too. If I am out there just listen for the laughs you'll find us!
Peace

Salomon Malamute Snowboard Boot - Men's
November 19, 2008
Have to agree with much of what I read in the reviews. The malamute is comfy especially considering it is the stiff boot in the line up. Fairly easy to break in...Next to the F24 nothing seems easy anymore...great boot if you want a comfy, stiff, all mountain/freeride boot. I put in 85 days on these last season and think I can go one more...have a little wear spot on the outside of each heel because it rubs on the heel cup of my binding, other than that they are still chrging.

Never Summer Titan Snowboard
November 11, 2008
Capt Carl says after 22 years on the hill he has no idea why th NS Titan gets all the hype. This must be because he's not has good as he thinks he is, if you skid while carving on a board then your not setting your edge. I have riden lots of brands and the NS is a Caddy! they rail like no ones busniess, crush through the chop, and do it in a manner that leaves you less fatigued...that's what the damping's for Carl. The other guys must be a little more sensitive to the boards response and have a better feel because they all saw it the same and the same as most of my buddy's see it. OK I ride with one guy that always pushes me, beats me to the bottom maybe 99% of the time in 5 years, I pick this board up and now I have to give him a head start to make a competition of the race did I say FAST!! nice turn initiation and when needed you can really dig in and finish the turn cleanly. I am 6 foot 235 sz 11 boot, and have loved the 164...I ride with Catek bindings so my feet get off the deck a bit greatly reducing drag. Great stick for everything, stiff enough for the big stuff, soft enough for a bit of fun, and agile enough to be mistaken for a billy goat!

Patagonia Rubicon Pant - Men's
November 11, 2008
that says it all...these have everything. cargo pockets one secured by a zip, one via velcro, nice little pass attachment inside the pocket as well makes it easy to grab when the liftie needs it. Vents are huge and make dumping the heat easy. Miles said it these things are tough...I have had mine for two full seasons with 150 plus days in bounds and a handfull out of bunds, the fabric is bomber, the scuff gaurds have held up to some real abuse, and when I did blow out a vent zipper but Patagonia fixed it in no time and at no cost to me other than shipping. I wear these things in all sorts of conditions from Blower in Mid Feb to Mashed Potato's in late April. Great all around pant if you're in the market.

Never Summer Titan Snowboard
November 10, 2008
well I can't speak to the rocker as I won't ride one until mid season, but I have a T5 (predecessor to the the F1) and if you want a big mountain board it is a good choice. However, if you want a board that is more all mountain then go with the Legacy. The F1 will not be as flexable when it comes to that epic run starting at the headwall, ducking into the trees, then poping out on that nice little log slide, or jibbing your way back to the Gondola. The F1 would rather rocket down top to bottom with none of the jibbing...maybe get the big backside 5 off the cliff band sure but not in the park! I ride several NS sticks 165 T5, 164 SL, and 164 Titan.

Patagonia R4 Fleece Jacket - Men's
November 10, 2008
Very warm super fuzy and comfy! the chest pocket kind of dangles inside the handwarmer pocket but you'll get used to it quickly. It has a more trim fit then most of the Patagonia items I own (rubi puff, slopestyle hoody, vapor bowl, and primo jackets) to the point I sized up to make sure I could layer or wear it on bluebird days on the hill. Must buy just for the extra rub-downs you'll get when everyone starts asking to hug you.

Answer to: "How does this jacket compare with the TNF Thermal Windwall I..."
Patagonia R4 Lightweight Fleece Jacket - Men's
November 2, 2008
it is a longer pile (fuzzier), has a different poket configuration, and lacks the re-inforcments. I have worn a backpack with my R4 several times and have not had any noticeable wear related to that...however it could happen overtime. My oppinion both will block the wind equally well, and which type of material you like is just preference. The R4 may tend to capture more snow and water because of the longer pile, where the TNF may shed a bit more.

um it blocks all the wind if that's what you mean. It is a longer pile or at least compared to what I have seen from MH. the only place that i feel wind come in is from the bottom if it's not cinched up, or via the pockets when open.

POC Receptor Helmet
December 30, 2007
The venting system worked great on the first day out, keep me all nice and cool. Can't find anything that stops venting which is great for me; but if you get a chilly nogin it may not work. Very comfy!! with a couple of options on pad thickness a nice fit was a cinch to find. only drawback is no goggle retention straps.

Stylin Hoody
Patagonia Slopestyle Hoody - Men's
April 28, 2007
internal draw strings make it sleek, two zippered stash pockets keep goodies safe, it beads light rain and snow, breaks up wind to keep toasty. Hey if I stay warm when a spring storm rolls in on closing day at Aspen Highlands at 10,000 feet you'll be good anytime the sun shines. This hoody is all I was looking for I just wish I could buy two more, one for everyday, one to keep pristine, and one to drop the Cirque Dykes cliffs all year.
