Rockets on my feet

Rossignol RPM 17 Alpine Ski

Rossignol RPM 17 Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 April 17, 2003

These skis are rockets. They absolutely tear on the groomers. Carving on these skis is like driving a Porsche: you feel like you’re riding on rails, with no chance of loosing your grip. I had a total blast on these skis. The one draw back, in my mind, is that they are not as versatile as Rossi claims. When I took them off-piste I found them to be a bit squirrely. Although this ski has a sidecut very similar to the B1 (the RPM being 2mm shorter in the tip and tail) its construction makes it more geared towards the corduroy.

Best Glove I've ever owned

Marmot Randonnee Glove - Men's

Marmot Randonnee Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 8, 2003

The Randonnee Glove is by far the best glove I've ever owned. I've logged about 20 days on the mountain with them this year, and they never cease to impress. The gore-tex lining has kept my phalanges nice and dry in every type of condition imaginable. In fairly cold weather (sub-15 degrees), however, my fingers get a bit cold. But bringing my digits into the palm of the gloves does the trick. The bomb-proof leather palms are truly invincible. Barely a mark on them. I'm really hard on my gear and these gloves are taking the abuse in stride. I think that if you're looking for a high quality glove, at a reasonable price, this is your glove.
