Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 27, 2005

I have had this jacket for over four years and I LOVE it. I really wear it all year round and have never had a more versatile jacket. I stood in the pouring rain the first day I had it for two hours and was fine (though you need to renew that over time). Now I am without a Gore-Tex shell but don't care and just ski in this all the time! You do need some extra insulation when it's below 40F though. But, the Windstopper is magic, I wish I'd had it when I was in college in MN!

Ultimate ski pants

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Men's

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 27, 2005

Haven't hit the mountain with them yet, but have been out and about in D.C.'s first big storm. The pants have great features and the reinforced rear and legs seem like they should last forever. Had also ordered the Minute Man bib, and wish the SK had the thigh pockets the MM has. However, the SK is much better for skiing and more comfortable. The MM and SK have internal shock cords in the bottom, for keeping em tight on bindings, but the MM only unzips down to the knee. Even with my gloves off, sitting down INDOORs, I couldn't reach my hand down inside to reach it. How you are ever supposed to tighten them I don't know. The SK zip down, so it's easy. I also like their waist belt, and the suspenders are designed better. Unless you move up to the Alpha bib, or want the lightness of the Theta LT, I totally recommend the SK!!!

Arc'teryx Minuteman Bib - Men's

Arc'teryx Minuteman Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 27, 2005

Love the look, but if you're using these as ski pants, go for the Theta SK's instead for sure. Don't like the suspenders as much on these, and couldn't figure out how they expect you to cinch the gators' shock cord once you have your legs in the pants. See my review of the SK's if you want more.
