Bio:
I finally made it to Maine and am in outdoor heaven. I hike the White Mountains, kayak (ocean/lakes/rivers), backpack, snowshoe, ski, mountain bike, and practice yoga when I have time. Except Sundays in the fall when everything stops for football, football, football!

Great shoes
Atlas E10 Series Elektra Snowshoe - Women's
September 27, 2008
I got these by default when the ones I'd ordered were out of stock after 2 mis-shipments, but I think I'm happier with these than I would have been with the others. Can go anywhere in these and I have! Took these on a mid-winter hike in the White Mountains and had no problem. Only issue I've heard is that they fling snow on the back of your legs, but to me, you're probably wearing your winter gear anyway which should be waterproof/resistant. The shoes spring up which aides in ease of walking and the crampons are great on crusty snow and ice. No problems with snow build-up either. Feel very light on your feet.

Great socks as usual
SmartWool Adrenaline Medium Crew Sock - Women's
March 11, 2008
I've always been a fan of the SmartWool line, but especially their socks. This did not disappoint. I have tried them hiking, snowshoeing and even working at the hospital. They always keep my feet warm or cool depending on the needs and are comfortable and durable after many washings, even the "irregulars" bought at the outlet. Just a well-made product.

Women's Trail Comfort
Therm-a-Rest Trail Comfort Sleeping Pad
March 9, 2008
Read all the other reviews and decided to go with this one since I plan to do a lot of winter camping in the White Mountains and don't like being cold. I have found it to be worth every penny. I found it to be a good idea to take it out and let it inflate once at home so set up is quicker on the trail. I will gladly take the extra weight, maybe cut back somewhere else to be able to get a good night's sleep on the trail.

Nice warm hat
prAna Classic Organic Beanie - Men's
March 9, 2008
Got this hat as a package deal with the reversible knit beanie. I kept the knit beanie which was much smaller and my boyfriend took this one. Fit him nicely covering his ears and just a bit down his neck without being too large. Kept him warm in the wind today and looks nice as well.

Nice hat
prAna Thermal Reversible Beanie - Men's
March 9, 2008
Very cute, classic beanie, kept my head nice and warm during a very windy day today. Only thing for men, might be a little small. I'm a petite female and it fit my head nicely. Got the prAna classic organic beanie for men with it as a package deal and it fits my boyfriend nicely, almost a little large.

Great pants
Mountain Hardwear Synchro Pant - Women's
March 8, 2008
I agree that these pants are definitely made for thin to athletic-shaped bodies, but I've found that with most of Mountain Hardwear's clothing. They do keep you dry, even sitting in the snow at length. I wore these on a snowshoeing trek recently in deep snow and they were great. Breathed well and I stayed toasty without getting too warm. Great movement, too, as I did a lot more "climbing" than trekking. I agree could be a little longer, I prefer lengths to the bottom of my shoe/boot, but they're not flood-length either for my height of 5'4" with the XS size.

Great pants
Mountain Hardwear Synchro Pant - Women's
March 8, 2008
Mountain Hardwear pants fit great if you're on the thinner/more athletic side. I'm 5'4" and the length is ok in the XS, but I'd prefer a bit longer, just a preference. Performed great, kept me dry while sitting in the snow and snowshoeing through waist-deep snow. Was plenty warm without being too warm in 20-something degree weather and silk-weight long underwear on. Nice ease of movement, too. Overall really perform well and as advertised.

Great pants
Mountain Hardwear Winter Wander Pant - Women's
March 1, 2008
Got a pair of these last winter and the fit/cut is very flattering. Comfortable heavy, stretchy fabric. Love the boot cut for wearing around town but obviously gaiters are needed to supplement the drawstring at the ankles. Not quite warm enough without another layer underneath in the super cold, but perfect for snowshoeing and other aerobic outdoor winter activities.

prAna Elisa Pant - Women's

I have to agree with the other reviewer, these pants are very flattering to your butt and are sooo comfortable! They've become the only pants I'll travel in! Love the fold-down waist. Awesome pants.

Nice boots
Danner Expedition GTX Hiking Boot - Women's
June 10, 2007
I haven't been hiking long, but I've been using these lightweight, sturdy boots for almost every hike. Gives good support without being heavy. Fits true to size with very little break-in time. Can't speak to the water-proof aspect as I haven't had an opportunity to test the Gore-tex liner.

Cute tank
Marmot Horizon Tank - Women's
May 18, 2007
Love the cut and the built in bra is nice as it would be difficult to wear a bra with this. Great for hiking. Ordered a Medium but probably could have used the small but was afraid it would be too small.

Love this tank!
Patagonia Capilene Mesh Tank (C/D) - Women's
May 18, 2007
I have to agree with the other review, this tank has a lot of support, just about anything but running. Wicks sweat away and keeps you cool. Runs a little small but is quite stretchy so it still works.

Outdoor Research Laguna Sport Tank Top - Women's

Doesn't work with anything over I'd guess a B cup. Cute, cool shirt, but the shelf bra is so short it only covers about half. Otherwise would have been great.

Cool pants
Outdoor Research Venture Pants - Women's
May 9, 2007
I'll have to agree with another reviewer's comments that sand is probably not the color to go due to the staining factor, but otherwise the pants are wonderful. Keep you just warm enough on the cool mornings and then you can roll them up to capris when it heats up. Lightweight, comfortable, good-looking pants. I liked them so much I ordered the same version in shorts.

Cool feet
SmartWool Running Ultra Light Micro Socks - Women's
May 3, 2007
I ended up ordering 3 pairs of these socks, absolutely love them! Possibly run a bit small because according to the size chart I'd need a medium for size 7 and the small fit just fine. Feet stay cool and blister-free while running.

KEEN Newport Sandal - Women's
April 11, 2007
I'd seen these sandals a year ago and finally managed to get a pair and they were every bit as comfortable as I'd expected. Extremely comfortable from the moment I put them on. I was worried when I later read to order 1/2 size larger, but I had no trouble with the fit.
