best tent
Mountain Hardwear Trango 4 Tent 4-Person 4-Season
March 14, 2007
This tent is absolutely solid. Withstands amazing amounts of weather (if you remember to close the vestibule). Vestibule is big enough to accommodate four people's stuff, and other entrance allows access. Goes up easy, with lots of adjustability. Great features. I could not think of a single thing to improve, oh maybe the price. I mean, it could be free!

never buy this knife
Gerber Paraframe I Knife
March 14, 2007
My wife and I both owned this knife as well as four other people on a recent expedition. Every one of these knives will lose the screws that hold the handle together, which makes them worthless. I will never buy another Gerber product because of this. Thankfully I had my Leatherman multitool with me.

goofie solid beanie
Mountain Hardwear Dome Perignon Beanie
March 14, 2007
Great beanie. Super warm. The only drawbacks are that the windstopper feature also stops sound. Well not totally, but it does make it difficult to hear. Also, it is shaped a little conehead like which looks funny and makes it hard to wear under a helmet. But boy is that sucker warm and comfy.
